Sep. 7, 2015 on the Dream

So, I just canceled Disney transportation to the port. We are going to use Happy Limo to get to the port and use Disney transport to the Boardwalk afterwards. I also paid all of our gratuities! I have just under $700 in Disney gift cards left. I will be using them for parasailing, bingo, DOTD, and some meals at the resort. Looks like I have just about everything paid for. Oh I also changed my port arrival time to 10:45-11. So we will be able to join the party, lolparty:

I also went shopping today, and got myself some clothes!! I stuck with casual because that's just me!! It feels so good to get things checked off the to do list!!

Whoop, whoop!! Glad you will be joining the party at the port, LOL!! How do you pre-pay the gratuities? I have seen someone mention that before, but didn't see an option at check-in. I would love to go ahead and get it taken care of....one less thing to worry about!

Do they have the Bippity Biopity Botique on the Dream and if so do I need to make reservations
Oh and how much cash should I bring on the ship to tip the extra people like maids and room service staff

I just called DCL tonight and asked to prepay my gratuities. It was just that simple :)

Here is my list so far:
car service driver $30
porters on arrival $10
bus drivers to resort $10
Room service $30 in ones (probably won't use it all)

I believe you are supposed to tip the excursion people, too.

kids club can't accept money so I don't know what I'm tipping there.

Just wanted to toss this out there though I know we don't have many drinkers here ;) We're planning to order a cheese plate while dressing for dinner as so many suggest and are going to bring either 4 small bottles of Prosecco or splits of Champagne to enjoy with it. That way there is just enough for 2 glasses without having to drink a full bottle prior to dinner :)

We're also probably bringing two bottles of wine to take to the dining room. Curious to see if we are charged the corkage fees as it seems dependent upon the server. We've taken bottles on another cruise line and weren't charged so we shall see...

Awesome!! $700 left in Disney cards is nothing to sneeze at! You can do some damage with that :sail:I was going over my onboard shopping list with the kids last night. We bought an ornament (Christmas cruise) and a picture frame last time. This time I want a Tervis cup, some kind of tote bag and not sure what else.

Anyone else have something specific they are looking for on the trip? I've heard the CC has things you can only buy there. Course we weren't able to dock so not sure about that.

My plan at the port is get checked in and then move over to the kids club check in so the kids can get their mickey bands. Last time they called our boarding number as soon as we finished the kids club check in.

I will be scanning the crowd for familiar faces from here and Voldermont. I hope to see some of you there in line. So exciting!! :rainbow:

I've heard they are putting it on one of the ships, but don't think it's the Dream.

We took a lot of cash last year and didn't use much at all. We never ordered room service. We tipped our room attendant extra at the end of the cruise. That was it.

If you need any help with the Prosecco or champagne, let me know. My husband would rather drink seawater than that.:flower3::drinking::rolleyes1

Your plans sound good! I will be scanning the crowds too :) I am planning to get a Tervis for each of us. Then we want to look at the CC merchandise since that's the only place you can get it. I figure with $400 towards parasailing, at least one game of bingo, and souvenirs that $700 will be long gone!!

I'm hoping that's the way we will be also, but it's better to be prepared!!

I'm pretty sure that the Dream does not have one. It is currently on the Fantasy and they are adding one to the Magic this fall. The main page for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique says that it's location is the Fantasy.

You're right, it does show it though even on the Dream deck plan and on that page it says BBB is midship on deck 5. It's very confusing....

Yeah I saw that, but I'm pretty sure it is an error. People taking about the Boutique say it is only on Fantasy. :confused3 Maybe DCL needs to keep a better eye on their website!

I think that they are going to add the Boutique and a star wars themed play area in the kids club at the end of October.
