Sep. 7, 2015 on the Dream

I haven't seen any either. Maybe I need to have a Harry Potter marathon day.
I think I'd rather have a marathon day of mixology on the ship rather than a marathon of Harry Potter! Speaking of marathon, I "ran" last night. Have you started your training yet Joe???

Let's see I sat on the couch an watched Netflix with my kids for 2 days tried to get caught up on my soaps (didn't happen) We did work on our Mickey Ears. Stayed up late to watch the Cleveland Cavs and book our online check in. I walked to the car a couple of times. So ya I started my training. LOL I need a mega phone to root you ladies on. Your Funny :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl::lmao::lmao::happytv:

I ran last night too! I have been running every night or every other night for the last 2 weeks. I hope to keep it up. I'm just doing c25k. At least I'm off the couch {cough} Joe {cough}

Oh I forgot to mention I worked 77 hours last week not bad for 5 days. :surfweb: I will start walking on June 26th to get in shape for the Parks. :crazy2::crazy2: My kids will drag me out there.

Man, I'm feeling kind of sad that I won't be there until around 1 :( The husband likes stress free though, so I'm going to stick with Disney transportation. He wants to do absolutely nothing while down there. That includes driving, lol :) Maybe you guys can have me a DOTD waiting!

For what it's worth, we are doing a town car with Florida Town car from the resort to the port. We get to pick the pick up time. We were quoted $125 plus tip. I know it's more than the shuttle, but it is direct, AC, just you in the car, stress free all the way.

^^^ speaking of cameras. What does everyone take? I'm trying to talk myself out of taking 3 different cameras!!!

So funny....I feel the same!

I am taking my Nikon SLR for sure. I also have a water proof Nikon that I got second hand and works like a charm for the beach. My SLR won't leave the ship. I am also one of those annoying food picture takers, but that'll be the iPhone. So yah.....3 for me technically too. The waterproof goes straight into the beach bag and never leaves there so it's not so bad and it is quite small. I don't take valuables off the ship in port and I'm ok if someone really wants to steal my $70 camera...

OMG I think you read my mind!!! I love food pictures :) What model Nikon do you have for the beach?

It's the Nikon Coolpix S30. It's a few years old now but works just fine. You can submerge for underwater shots and I found them to be quite clear. I love food pictures too and always document all the food on my trips....I know...we get mocked. I don't care. :tilt:

Who cares if you get mocked because you get to eat it!!

Hi Everyone!

I am more active on the "other" site than I am here because it's more convenient. Haven't decided if we are doing any FE Groups. We have done them 3 times before and since this is such a short cruise it may take more time than we are willing to spare. Planning on running the Castaway 5K again like we always so. We are already checked in with a port arrival at 10:30am and blue lagoon excursion.

For cameras we are bring 3 ( I am a local Orlando Photographer). We will have my Canon 7D with the kit lens and a 50mm, a canon point and shoot and a waterproof Nikon point and shoot.

There is a total of 8 of us on this cruise. My family is 2 adults and 3 kids and my sister in law in her son will be joining us on their first cruise ever.

Excited to getaway for a few days!

Wish I would have known you were an Orlando photographer before booking one for Disney ;) Cant wait for this cruise!! :)

For us, its less of a mini vacay and more of a REALLY big deal! We are missing a week of school (well, 4 days) and coming in Sat, staying til Sunday after. Hoping to do lots of fun stuff before and after the cruise. And its our first cruise and my 2 younger kids' first time flying. We are over the moon about this trip!

We generally take cruises that are 7 days and family vacations that can be up to 14 days. I swear, I only work to pay for our vacations...lol! We had a 7 night western planned but do to the school schedule we settled for a quick 4 day which is not nearly enough time on a beautiful ship like the dream!

I still plan on high-fiving the finishers with a drink in hand. Not a lot of training needed to sit on my rump and give congrats :beach:

I am of course taking my pro camera (Nikon D700 and a couple of lenses, maybe 3) and we're talking about getting a gopro for some waterproof video. I don't know much about them. I do not lug the big camera everywhere I go, so the cell phone camera will be doing a lot of the work so I can be 'in the moment' and not just the photographer.

After months and months of talking about going to Atlantis, my daughter read about the Graycliff chocolate tour and decided she would rather do that!!!! SCORE for my pocket book!!! CHA-CHING!! Plus, it is only a 2 hour excursion, which means more time on the ship!! Whoop Whoop!! :teeth: :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :woohoo:
