Seniors going through the cue and not riding the ride

My MIL had a stroke last year and she has never been to Disney. We are taking her this year. Her mobility is great, she just has a severe blind spot in her eyes. I would like for her to experience the cue lines of some of the rides but I know she will not be able to ride some of them.

Has anyone had experience of a member of your party going with you to right before you get on the ride and them meeting you when you get off the ride.

I would hate for her to sit and wait for us to ride if she can’t. I do know that this is possible on Tower of Terror bc my parents did it before.

Sure, that's fine. Done all the time by many guests, for many reasons

Enjoy your trip with your MIL. She'll love it.

Every ride has an exit at the loading dock. Just tell the CM that she’s not riding, and they’ll direct her. If you are using a LL to ride, she will need one too to walk through that line, even if she’s not riding.

I would think all rides have an "escape route". The first time our dd went in the Haunted Mansion, she didn't make it to the ride. She and my husband were led out a different way.

Can you picture theme park security forcing guests, in queue, to ride?
Rides have a "chicken" exit. Read the warning signs. Age isn't listed. The list often indicates pregnant women, guests with back issues....
The chicken exit at ToT requires using a regular elevator. Some guests get concerned.

I've been on that elevator repeatedly as my very young child at the time always wanted to ride but it was not for me.

I'm glad you started this thread. I am going next Wednesday and the two others I am going with really want to do Tiana's Bayou, but I'll be wearing jeans (and I'm a weenie and really don't want to get wet and don't want to bother with extra rain clothes). I'll still do lightening lanes with then etc. and just skip out at the end I think.

This will work I'm assuming with an exit for me there.

I Love the Rockin’ Roller Coaster queue at HS. Sometimes I can go on it but most of the time I can’t so I just walk through with my family and step through the car at loading. 🎸:dancer:
