Was going to wait until I hit the 14 day mark, but my husband and I (seniors) are back from a 5 night stay. We are seniors. No Covid. Disney did a great job of social distancing....from resorts (BCV) to pools, food, bus, parks, etc. Kudos to them. Very sorry about the lay offs. Hoping things can turn around soon, especially in California.

We are seniors too. Glad to hear no covid for you.
I was wondering how you felt, as seniors, not having the shows in the parks? They are a big part of our visits. Sure, we like the rides, but we enjoy the many shows too. I am waffling between going and waiting for a return to "normal".
thanks:)

Truth be told, only my daughter and I went into the parks, and we only did HS and MK. I miss the shows terribly, but this time around it was so HOT and HUMID, that we didn't last long in HS. The next day we went to MK and rode all of the kid rides. We had a ball! Bottom line, I miss the shows, I miss park hoping, I miss the fireworks etc., but this trip was basically a R&R and we hung most times at SAB at the BCV..... I usually go about 3 times a year (solo trips which I love)....and there defintely was magic missing. You could feel it in the air......

Well, guess what? I'm a senior and worked a COVID unit for 2 months at our local hospital and no COVID. I think people would be amazed at how big of a deal it really ISN'T!

Our hospital is in a small city in the middle of nowhere. We are the only hospital for miles around. So, all the outlying areas use our hospital. To prepare for covid, they took half the ICU floor and devoted those rooms to covid only, outfitted especially for them. Well, they have had NO cases to use those speciality units. So last week they were converted back to regular ICU units. There are isolation rooms on allthe other floors so that is where they will put people who might present with covid.
I'm not saying covid is not a big deal in some places alot more than others. But just relating what has happened, or not happened, in our part of the state. We feel very lucky and fortunate, and I feel horrible for those states who have alot of cases.
