We are a group of four 70+ seniors going to WDW. I think everyone would enjoy the food at Prime Time, and enjoy the antics are adjoining tables, but wouldn't appreciate a lot of personal attention of the kind that usually goes on there. Do you think it's possible to ask at checkin or ask the wait person for a no-joke dining experience.

You could try .... but the joking and humor is the whole idea behind the prime time 50's. The joking and humor will be ALL around you.

Mom is in the kitchen cooking, and the servers are either your cousin or auntie or uncle.

They do not humilate you, they just do funny things. Like, "did you wash your hands before coming to the table" if you say yes they say "oh, what color is the soap!". They might tell you to get your elbows "off the table" or "eat your veggies".

To me the interaction, atmosphere and service is the main reasons we go to the PT 50's each year.

My Mother-in-Law (60 something) did not like the antics either.
I feel like our server picked up on the "vibes" and did not tease her as much as the rest of us.
If you happen to feel in a playful mood it is a lot of fun but I wouldn't let it keep me from going.
Telling the hostess seems like a good idea.
