Senioritis

I need to vent! I have a senior this year and she is driving me crazy! It is 11:30 here and she just came from her room to hand me a packet that is her Cap and Gown and announcement order and then proudly announces that they have to turn them in tomorrow at school during lunch. Please pray that we make it til June.

LOL! I feel your pain!
We have a senior as well. He needs to get an essay in and is stalling, stalling, stalling and then I find out if he gets in by Dec. 1 and is accepted it is $1,000.00 off first semester. And why is this not in like months ago??!!
But hey, thanks for the heads up that stuff is coming out for others. I will do some investigating.....

If the essay is for a college application, and recommendations are needed from teachers, then they normally don't get sent in until right about now - your son couldn't have done it 'months ago', as his teachers (at least the ones he has senior year) wouldn't know him well enough to write that recommendation.

Luckily, my oldest daughter spared us most of the senior year grief last year. She didn't ask for one iota of help to do any of her college applications, including her essays. We were blessed that she had the most awesome guidance counselor, and we'd share her with you all, but we need her for daughter #2...

As a one time senior sponsor for many years, I feel your pain momofrrr. As troubling as it is for you for just your child, I had 132 seniors, my portion of the graduating class, to get all of their monies and requests done. Many times I ended up calling parents and asking if their senior had told them about this or that, that needed to be done. Thankfully those days are gone now, I retired and passed the torch to my understudy!

Yes they are special people aren't they? My DD's senior antics so far are completely stalling on her college applications and draggingher feet turning in her senior pic for the yearbook. I guess they all must have been as bad because they extended the deadline 3 times!!! The teacher in charge of the yearbook lives on the next street and SHE even accosted her when she was taking her little brother trick or treating! even with her doing that she still waited 11 more days to turn it in the morning it was due.

I feel much better tonight. She received her second acceptance letter today and this is one that she really might be interested in. We have two more we are wainting to hear from.....I wish you all the best.

SnowShoe - her class sponsor happens to be my best friend so I guess that I really don't have a good excuse for not knowing. I should have been talking to her all along..
