Senior Travelers to WDS

Has anyone every traveled with seniors? My parents are 77 and 80. Just wondering how they did and what they liked doing?

We just returned from an 80th birthday celebration, and our group consisted of 3 in their 80's, 1 in his 60's and 5 in our 50's. Only 1 person didn't like Soarin, due to some motion sickness. 1 of the 80's loved Test Track, Big Thunder Mountain RR, Splash Mountain!

A tour of the Steam Trains was a hit, so I would suggest some sort of behind the scenes tour. We had 2 wheelchairs, one was used all of the time, the other had only limited use.

Every senior is different, but all of these 3 agreed they had the most wonderful time on this trip. 2 of the 80 year olds hadn't been to WDW in 15 years! AK was a hit, with the safari and the Festival of the Lion King.

We had great meals in Alfredos and Liberty Tree Tavern.

Everyone liked the whirlpool, either in the 2 bedroom, or at the pool, they said it helped sooth their aching feet!

My parents went to WDW themselves when they were both 72. They stayed for 5 days at Pop Century and did each park for one day and rested a day. They had a blast! My Mom was never a thrill-seeker, but my father couldn't stop raving about Mission:Space (when he went there was only one version).

My Dad was in between rounds of chemotherapy at the time, so it's not like they were both super-athletes with the bodies of 40 year olds. Then again, having just survived my own 40th birthday party last night, I can't vouch much for the body of a 40 year old!

I have one of those crazy grandparents. They were 70 and 62 and both went on ToT, space mountain, and every other crazy ride in WDW. They had loads of fun, and want to go back now!!

PS. Whoops, is this for the upcoming trip? If you are there especially during the week, the eating around the world at the booths at Epcot seem to be easiest to get to at lunch time, during the week. We all enjoyed eating different things.

We will be leaving Nov 2nd. Was there last yr at the same time for F & W
