Senior Portraits!!!

Ahhh! I take my senior portrait today at 3:45! It's kind of scary because one of the poses is with a cap and gown!! I'm not ready to put one on! I'm still technically a junior!! lol. Are there any other upcoming seniors who aren't mentally ready for senior year??

Ditto, I just took my Senior photos a few weeks ago. All the Juniors took them. I don't know if I'm going to look the same. I meen,just look at me from Sophmore Year to Junior Year. Let alone Freshman Year. Most of my friends are Seniors, and they were sad to leave (yesterday was our last day of classes, now we have Regents) and I'm not looking foward to Senior Year, let alone College!

It's obvious people change from the beginning of the year to the end of the year in SOME way. It's inevitable. So you can't let that bother you. lol.

I took my senior pictures last summer and to look at me then compared to now is a slight change as far as my face goes. My hair style changed completely. But the fact of the matter is, it's still me. I know it's me when I look at it and so does everyone else.

As far as being ready, man, pictures are NOTHING compared to the actual graduation at the end of senior year. All year I was OVERJOYED to graduate. Could not wait another second all I wanted to do was graduate. Then came baccalaureate, senior banquet, senior awards, rehersals and then the actual day were I grabbed hold of that diploma so hard and yet through all that excitement and emotional gatherings, it never really hit me that I was a senior let alone that I was graduating. The past 3-4 weeks have been probably the most emotional 3-4 weeks I have ever experienced in school. It didn't hit me until at a graduation party where I realized, I'm never gonna see these people again. But you know, senior year is only the prelude to the rest of your life.

My point is, now begins the year for you that will include many, many things that you were probably anxious for and then feel you aren't ready for. You're going to be a senior in high school! How freaking cool is that?! Freshman will fear/admire/respect you and you will be the class that is looked up to. Milk this year for everything you've got! Senior pictures is the start, don't worry about not being ready to be a senior, just walk through the day and love every minute of it! Senior year goes entirely too fast - oh man does it ever.

It helps to feel mentally ready for senior year knowing that you aren't ending something, you're finally beginning something that you worked so hard for.

I went through the exact same thing last year. It is scary at first when you put on that Cap & Gown for the Senior Pictures, but I guarentee all of you Juniors right now you will have a wonderful upcoming year as Seniors ahead of you. Make the most of the year as it goes by way too fast and the next thing you know you are off to college like myself come the End of August. I for one am going to miss Highschool and all the teachers, friends, Pep Rally, Games, Cheering & Dance competitions, and parties. But I guess this is life and it is time to venture out to new things and you will see as Seniors there will be a bunch of new and exciting things waiting for you in the upcoming year ahead. I put on the cap and gown and the lady put a mirror in my face and I was like "Noo!! Take it off! I'm still a junior!" But then it looked really good too. Lol...I felt older and mature and stuff.

um...I still feel like a sophmore, even after the horrible 15 page junior research paper and Junior speech that I gave in front of the entire school. yup, I am still a sophmore... I don't want to be a senior.

I'm getting my senior pictures done when I get back from Disney next month. I for one am TOTALLY ready for Senior year. I'm ready to move on and start the next best thing. I'm over so much crap that happens at my school it's not even funny. Over the teachers, over most of the students, over stupid people who think they are better than everyone. Just a little ranting I guess. I might feel differently when next june rolls around. But right now...I'm ready!
