hi, we are going to orlando at xmas next year and dh has a question, he has seen an amp in a guitar shop in downtown disney and would like to fed ex/dhl it home, we have never done this before so would like to know if anyone has ever sent anything home from hols before and how does it effect your allowance and how do customs know what tax to charge, hope this makes sense!! thanks susie

it doesn't affect your customs allowance, but customs can check it through the post office and send you a bill that way.
I would also carefully investigate postage costs first, as postage from the USA to the UK is very expensive.

A lot cheaper to send it by land but it will take about 6 weeks
I once enquired about a guitar and it was gonna cost $80 by air 7-10 days but Id still make a bg saving han buying it ove here,
