Have you ever had something that you purchased on vacation sent to your haouse rather than your resort? If you have do you remember how much it costs to have that done. I am going to be going for a short trip and wont have the ability to bring a lot back so I wanted to mail it and I wanted to know how much it would cost to shop. TIA!

We do it all the time. However I can't remember how much it was. I know the more you spend the more it costs. I think for up to $100-$150 it was around $14.95 for S&H. It's still worth it when you figure in the hassel of lugging it through the airport or have your bag go over the weight limit. If know one has given you an answer by the time I get home I'll look in our trip book that we keep and get the prices for you. Miane :firefight

We shop this way while at Downtown Disney - if you take all your purchases and let the cast member know that you want ship your purchases for the day home (all together) - you will save some $$$. We have not had a problem buying items from other stores and having them added to the grand total for the shipping charge. Makes life so much easier with the luggage.

A year ago I did a huge amount of Christmas shopping in the huge Disney store in DTD. I must have spent about $300!!! I did get a 10% discount...I think it was an AP discount (or possibly a DVC one, can't remember), but since they didn't charge any tax since it was going out of state I made up for the shipping costs. The tax and the shipping almost negated each other. If you can do one big shopping trip, you most likely can save a bit on shipping.

We were on the DVC member cruise in September and they lavished us with gifts. Many of them I knew would get crushed in our suitcases (tins, alarm clocks, etc) Worse than that, they gave us FOUR of everything b/c there were 4 of us sailing! I knew I'd never get them home in one piece in my regular luggage.

We were at WL and I asked the ladies in the merchantile for a box. They gave me one and I packed it with all of the things I wanted shipped. I had to add some clean clothes to it in order to buffer and protect everything and keep it all from banging each other. We ended up with TWO boxes of things (kids bought some large souveniers.) We took them down to the conceirge desk (per the merchantile CM's instructions) and they were able to ship them UPS from there. The cost of the UPS was added onto our room charge. I don't remember exact weights or anything like that, but for two fairly large boxes which were quite full, it was about $20-$25.

DEFINITELY worth it. The box took about 4 business days to get to us.

HTH.

Dont quote me totally as it has been some time and i dont know if prices have changed but last year they were as follows
anything under $24.99 was $8.95
Anything between $25 to 99.99 was $10.95
Anything 100 dollars to $999.99 WAs 15.95
anything after that its like 10 dollars for every hundred dollars spent or something like that...
so Basically as stated above the more you spend at one time the cheaper it is to ship... and yes if its going out of state than their will be no sales tax
