Sending Postcards to Kids - Pay it Forward

I'd be happy to send postcards out in Dec and possibly even during my trip in March...but I'm looking for someone to send my kids ones before our Dec trip...can any body out there PM me.???if interested...

Another thought for anyone that needs a postcard... you can get one from Jane and her pixies at www.giftsofalifetime.com I ordered both of mine from her... the first was a few weeks ago and then my sister felt left out, so I sent her one as well. It was a big hit, even for a 14 year old!!!

We'll be at Beach Club from 12/4 -12/11.

But here's the thing - I've never used the pm function (I'm technologically impaired). So if a pm goes to my e-mail that's associated with this board, I'm good to go.

Yes it goes to yor email. very easy just hit the PM button write your message and send. That is all there is to it.

Hi just to let you know...
Unless you have it checked that you want Email notification for any PM's you get, you won't get an email letting you know that you have one....the PM will just wait until you sign on and check your User CP.

Anyone going SOON, that wouldn't mind sending one to my kids, "can't wait to see you" type of thing? We leave Dec 1st and I know it takes what seems like forever to send a postcard from Disney. We'd be happy to send a few out too when we get there.

A thought just occured to me. When I mail cards to my grands and friends from DW it seems that it takes forever for them to arrive. I get home before the cards usually and we do the cards when we first get there and usually stay over a week at a time. 16 days last time and my grandson called me up to tell me that he had gotten the card almost a week after we got home? Maybe it is where I mail from at the resort? Just a heads up in case it matters to someone.

I don't hinbk it is just because it is Disney. We have mailed other postcards from other places and we usually get home before them.

webmomom, I thought maybe it was just a sinkhole at the AS and when they cleaned they mailed out the cards that were stuck. LOL Maybe it is because we do not go much of anywhere except DW so I did not know the mail was so slow everywhere? LOL

I think I am not sure but since the postcards are no first class they are treated different and that is why it takes so long.

I am the person who started the current "Pay-it-forward" thread on the cruise board. It has been going strong for well over a year now. I don't know why I never thought of starting one here, since I only went on one cruise, but have been to WDW 14 times this year. Anyway, I'm thrilled to see it here! Enjoy the magic, everyone!

moinab and the crowelyfam --- I would personally like to thank you for being the orginal people to get this going. I also had seen something like this on another board and thought it was a good idea and don't know why I did not start it here. Anyway thank you so much.

When I first read this I thought I want to get involved and said I would send 10 cards.
As the request came in the feeling I got from giving a little Pixie
Dust to someone not matter what age, race boy or girl was wonderful. Right now I am sending about 50 cards out and do not mind sending more. MY DH husband has even got into it, and askes each day if we got more to send.

I have been following the Pay it Forward thread from the DIS Cruise board started by Moinab. Thanks Moinab.

I will be going to WDW on 1/22 and can send postcards out then. I will re-post closer to the date.

We are following that up with a Disney Cruise on 1/29 so I will be able to pay that one forward as well.

Thank you all for making this possible! It is clear by the number of replies (both requests and committments) that this is a good thing for all!
