Sending items back to the hotel

Anyone stay on property and used the send it back to the hotel service while shopping? Any issues with using it or things to know before using it?

We are planning on using this on our coming trip. I think you get your items the next day?

I've done it and it's great! They send it to the baggage area at the DLH. I was able to slip Christmas presents past our children by doing this. It was great! I've used it more than once. The only thing I didn't really like about it is the fact that it's not there until the following morning. If it's something you want that night at your room don't use this service.

Correct, items are available at your hotel bell desk the next morning.

Also, a lot of the DL stores can also ship UPS direct from that store to your home for just the cost of shipping if you don't wanna lug a larger item home.

The one time we were able to use it (remembered it, we had enough time left in our stay, and they had the paperwork for it) the item arrived broken.

It was a clear green musket that makes a noise, I had to go back into the parks to find it because WOD didn't have anymore, and it was Columbus Day Monday over Gay Days Weekend. While DS and DH relaxed at the pool (it was our last day with NO park plans at all) I had to fight my way into the very crowded park to hunt it down. Because it was the first time Pirates League was done at DL, it turned out the PL people had somehow snagged all of those muskets for their own, and none of the other stores had them. Can't believe I found them but I did.


So if it's something breakable and perhaps something extra popular during that time, I wouldn't do hotel delivery. I would have much rather been in the pool with the family.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. With leaving to be at the park by 7 am, I'm not sure I'll want something else to track down in the morning. Thanks for the tip on UPS parkhopper1. Sorry you had that experience bumbershoot, but glad you found another one!
