Sending gifts to resort room

We have a friend heading to WDW today and we want to surprise her and her daughter by sending them a gift basket and have it waiting for them when they check in tonight at the YC. Does anyone know how to go about this? I found a phone number for Disney Floral and Gift delivery. Do I just call them and make my purchase and let them take care of the rest, or do I need to also call the resort directly? Does anyone have the phone number for the YC?
 
I've had things delivered to a few of the resorts while I was there. Just make sure it's clear who its for. Disney do the rest.
 
Unless they are staying concierge, its unlikely that the arrangement will be in the room when they arrive. They can deliver it after your friend has checked in.

Disney will not let you call the resort directly; the published numbers for each of the resorts goes to a Central Call Center and they answer it as if they are in the resort. It is all about the illusion that you are calling the resort. They do not want to tie up the front desk with calls, so they can concentrate on their guests who have already arrived at the resort.

Also, the room will not be available until it is ready to be occupied, as things do happen maintenance wise from time to time, so no one would be able to physically deliver it to the room until later. If they are arriving in the evening as you stated, it may not be time to be able to deliver something until morning, with the exception of what the PP stated, if they are staying CL and someone can arrange to get it over there.
 
If the guests have already arrived, how do I do this? They are there now and I want to make sure they get it before they leave...how many days would it take?
 
when we have used Disney florist we have set it up months before. i am sure that is not necessary but i dont know how much lead time they need. call them and find out what information they need. I think they keep hrs of 8 or 9am - 5 or 6 pm. :)

You didn't reach the Poly; you reached the Central Call Center and they transferred you to in-room dining.

As I stated in my earlier post, you never reach the resort directly; they answer the phone as if they are in the resort. It is all about the illusion you are reaching someone directly.
