Sending flowers out of state

Do you use something like FTD online site. or do you call a local flower shop in the area where the flowers are being delivered?

I almost always choose a local florist. I've gotten much better results that way.

i used to use a local place to where i was sending but since we tried pro flowers (on line) we've had such great experiences we've stuck with them (and their flowers are beautiful-i've been a recipient as well).

if you use them try doing a google search for pro flowers discount codes first (allot of radio hosts that advertise them have you enter their name as the discount code and it does bring up some good specials).

I have had great luck calling a florist who is "local" to where they need to be sent. FTD - and other similar ventures merely add to the cost.

I look online, find a florsit who's website I like, and then call them to see if they can do what I want. I usually have a good idea of where I want to start. THe time I didn't have a clue (my SIL's brother passed away) the florist in a fairly small town was FABULOUS!!! Never would have gotten a arrangement that contained "plaid ribbon", an outdoorsy figurine along with greens from FTD.

i have used FTD and others and then when I have seen the flowers they are terrible!!

I usually just call a local florist and tell them how much I want to spend

BTW-FTD uses the local florist-but keeps 20% of your $$-thats why its better to call local-and most have 800 # 's

After two bad results with local florists I switched to Pro Flowers and have much more consistant results and on time delivery. And yes there are always discount codes available.
