For those who have checked a booster seat within a duffle bag or suitcase for free - did you wrap it in anything to protect it? Did you have to open the bag when you checked it in? I would like to wrap our boosters in a blanket to keep them from scratching each other (we have to take off the arms to get both in one duffle), but I'm worried that we will be charged for a checked bag if there is anything other than the seats in the bag.

I just tag them (two) and put them in like that. You could put a clear plastic bag over it ...

We own carseat bags. Used them over a dozen times now and they are still going strong. We have thrown toys, mugs, coats, and blankets in them several times and it's never been an issue.
