been having a ruff couple weeks. First off I had carpel tunnel surg and it is taking much longer to do even simple things than I anticipated. I guess you just don't think about all the stuff you can't do when you can only use one hand. I am right handed and that is the hand I did this time, I still have the left to go! I cant open bottles, do may hair properly(it even hurts to try and put in a ponytail), sweep the floor, lift anything. I have been able to left a fork with food on it the last couple days finally. I am bruised from my fingers down my arm about 9-10" and all the way around my thumb. It's just been more frustraiting than painful. I can't seem to do anything. I am hoping to be feeling much better when we leave for our trip in a couple weeks.

Then DH gets in a car accident and thank heavens everyone is fine but the car is totaled! It was just an old clunker( a 95 with 165,000 miles) so we only had PLPD. We will really miss that ol car, we had it for years and planned to have it much longer. Luckily we found another car for under $1000 and know the owner so we know it is in great shape for it's age. (also a 95 but with just over 100,000) but the purchase of it really puts a strain on our financial situation, especially since we decided to take this trip and go over budget to stay onsite.(DH's idea- I'm a $50 a night motel kinda girl) I wanted to cancel the trip even though I had already purchased the tickets and we would end up loosing that $ but DH didn't want to disappoint the kidlets and said we could "card" part of the trip if we need to.

So I tell myself everything will be fine and go on planning the trip and then last night on the way home from DS's physical therapy(btw- DS9 hurt his growth plate back in Dec. and after a cast and now in a brace still has pain and is in physical therapy- we are thinking we may have to rent a wheelchairfor the trip) the service engine soon light came on in our main vehicle, the one we will be driving to FL! (a 2002 explorer) If it turns out to be anything we really will have to cancel the trip and possibly live off hotdogs and ramen noodles for the rest of the year! So please, please, please send some good vibes this way. I just need the next few weeks to go especially well and then I can handle all the usual crap again! I just can't take anything else right now.

Well tahnks for letting me whine , I feel a little better allready.

Hugs! I sure hope you don't have to cancel. It seems that whenever anyone has to make that decision, it's when they need a vacation the most. Sending some strong spidey webs your way!

I'm so sorry you've had so much crap thrown your way lately. I hope everything starts to look up soon. My Mom had carpal tunnel surgery a couple of years ago. She had her left done first. She was having a difficult time healing as well. She ended up in physical therapy and that helped a lot. She was told that she had an unusual amount of scar tissue, that's why they sent her to PT. Good luck with everything! *sending LOTS of good vibes your way*

between doc bills and the car expense not sure I can afford to buy the ticket! LOL

Thanks for the good vibes, I think It might be working, all the bad stuff is bouncing off me and hitting my family! SIL fell and ended up in the ER. She tore legaments in her foot and is in a half cast. And my Cuz who is basically the sis I never had has to have knee surg. . She has been in Phys. Therepy for a while and it wasn't working. Went to her doc. appt. and he said surg was the next step. Maybe we need some more good vibes so we can bounce the bad ones a little further away. In the mean time I think I may just stop answering my phone

my wife had CT surgery as well a few years back. she couldn't hold on to anything for a couple of weeks. hopefully everything works out, because you need a vacation. your hands will get some rest at UO because they'll in the air on all of the rides.

I think thats just what they need! Along with the week of not having to do anything I bet I will feel great by the end.

Thanks for the good vibes -DH looked at the truck and the oil is over full, not a good sign He told me a couple diff things it could be and he is taking it to the shop today.
