We are a family of 5 heading to WDW for our 2nd time in July.
We will be flying for the first time. My question...with the new FAA regulations and the price of Baggage, would it make sense to send some items ahead. empty water bottles, spray fans, drink mixes, sunscreen, etc.
Is it even possible? and how do I do it?

:) There is a sticky at the top of one of the Forums about shipping items ahead. It has info and addresses. I cannot remember exactly where maybe the attractions or resorts forum.

:)It is the second sticky on the resort forum--that may help.

Will you not have any checked luggage? I realize that you don't want to pack a case of bottled water in your luggage (weight restrictions), but empty bottles, and a bottle or two of sunscreen could go into non carry-on suitcases.

This is my new favorite Disney tip!!

We are a family of 6, plus grandmother. I just shipped 20 lbs of liquid, heavy stuff for 19.99. Shampoo, sunscreen, liquid hand soap for villa bathrooms, hairbrushes, elastics, so much more!

I love this because:
1. It freed up 20 lbs in my suitcase (no more shuffling the suitcase items to get bags <50 lbs!!)
2. Made me get organized before the trip. We used FedEx ground, takes 5 business days to get there, so I had this part of my packing done/shipped/complete!
3. Reshipped this stuff home, using same box. (we had a rental car and FedEx center is minutes from DTD so this was easy!)

I didn't ship anything that I was afraid of losing. Yes $$, but all replaceable. I will ALWAYS do this when we travel together as a family.

I'm actually finishing up my box this week so it's ready to ship down a week before we leave. I've put in shampoo/conditioner, body wash, sunscreen, etc. Plus, some snack foods & breakfast foods...diapers, wipes, a few bottles. If there is room in it and it doesn't weigh too much, I will probably put the baby's clothing in there too, it doesn't take up much space and it's one less suitcase I need to worry about. The stuff we use up while we are down there will make room for souvenirs and we will ship the same box home when we leave. Don't forget to throw a roll of packing tape in the box so you don't need to look for it when you sending it home.

Okay then...It's a plan...thanks for your help!
Would 10 days before departure be ok ? Can I call the BC to see if it got there?
As far as the trip home...alot of what I send is pretty disposable,
I can give it away or toss it before we leave, don't know about you , but packing to leave is a whole different ballgame then packing to go!!
