Semi private vip tours returning?

Does anyone want to speculate if the semi private, set itinerary vip tours might return? I’m referring to tours like the Ultimate Day of Thrills, Ultimate Disney Classics tour etc? Trying to plan a milestone birthday and so many things are still “on pause”. When might these tours return?

A return date has not been announced for these. They have now been closed for over 18 months so any dates given at this point are pure speculation until Disney announces a formal return of them.

My speculation is that it's a staffing issue. Disney makes good money on those tours, and they rarely miss a chance to make money, so my guess is that they simply don't have enough staff to reopen them.

The downside is that no one knows how long it'll be before they can be fully staffed again :(

I just spoke to my travel agent this week about this issue. She said the word from inside is that it's STILL staffing issues. They have increased park and resort capacity at the same or greater rate than cast members have returned and it's still all hands on deck for the most critical jobs.

Moreover, VIP guides are some of Disney World's most tenured cast members and there's more training and skill required than most other roles.

Does/Did Disneyland offer private VIP tours? If so, can someone please direct me to where I find out the specifics on them? Thank you.
