Hello All....

I've already did some research on Patricia and BeauteSpeciale and their Waterproof Airbrush (and maybe eyelashes--but mine are rediculously long anyway)...but here are a few of my dilemmas:

First: I'm a Dior Makeup Artist and DF thinks because I do this everyday, that I should be able to do my own since.... well (blushing) I do well. Not quite sure how I would judge someone else doing it either :( Not meaning to be a brat.

Second: A lot of pictures I've found on here have a natural look--well that's not me! At all! I'm looking at Sunset Pointe and would like dramatic and tropical. Has anyone had a good experience with the above artists doing this?? Pictures??

We're looking at a Fall/Winter wedding so heat won't be a huge factor.

I'm also wondering if I'll be too crazy nervous to do it? We'll have a 1BR villa at BLT so I'll have lots of space to spread everything out (which is good when i'm anxious, lol)

Another idea I had was.... when we go to get our engagement pix this November 2010 or May 2010 (we these trips planned already) have her come and do the makeup then so I can try it out??

Lol this is crazy I'm this frantic 2 years out :) But I love it!

Any insight is appreciated!

Well if I were you I would first do several trials on myself at home and take pictures.

If I was happy with the product I would go to the engagement session and do my own make up, see how that feels. If it is too stressful or doesn't look "all the way there" you could schedule a trial for your trip with the make up artist, call them up and explain to them what you are looking for and if that is possible.

I am pretty sure they can do it, natural make up is just very in right now so a lot of brides are getting it that way.

Also having someone come over and take care of it for you on your big day is a great treat you can look forward to.

Just based on what I've seen, for a dramatic look I'd go with Beaute Speciale. But both seem to be great artists and I'm sure Patricia could do a more dramatic look for you if you wanted. I think just more people looking for a natural look use her, but that doesn't mean she couldn't do something else.

I'm using Beaute Speciale and I was really happy with Ana's work for my epics. I did want a more natural look and she did a great job on that too.

I would try it out for an engagement shoot. Then if you hate how it came out you can always wash it off and do it yourself. It will be nice to not have to worry about it on the day of the wedding when you'll probably be a little nervous anyway. And really do we brides need even more to do? ;)
