Semi-Annual Ontario DISmeets!

Hello Everyone!

I’ve got an idea I’d like to run by you all. SEMI-ANNUAL ONTARIO DISMEETS! The idea is this:

· Meet twice a year in a GRAND style….we can discuss the venue in this thread; ie: Niagara Falls, Toronto, Picnic Park, Amusement Park, Zoo, Rainforest Cafe etc.,. Something Disney-like.

· Volunteers to source loot bag goodies; I once got a travel agent to donate pens for an event. We can ask companies to donate “things” for our gathering…it promotes them and makes our meet extra special.

· Door-prizes; DISer’s can donate items for the door-prizes or volunteers can source prizes.

· Scrapbookers/Photo Album can show us their wears.

· Pin Trading can happen.

· Disney Item Trading; folks can bring Disney that they are willing to trade. Ie: Waffle makers, toasters, scrapbooking items, frames, dolls, books etc.,.

· Lots of DISNEY TALK!

I'm game. I am pretty easy going about seasons. Since people will be travelling by car, winter probably isn't the best bet since we never know what we are going to get.

Spring and Summer would be fun. Fall is hectic with back to school and all that....but there are some fun festivals/parks we could meet up at, again weather can be iffy though.

So I guess I vote for Spring or Summer.

Some places have really neat meeting spots like the Toronto Zoo has a huge fab picnic area. Niagara Falls has tons of places and is so fun.

There are some great conservation areas which are nice too.

Centre Island is lovely for something like this too. huge sprawling lawn spaces with lots of picnic benches.

Canada's wonderland is a bit too crazy and impersonal for a meet up I think.
