Did you guys see this, I was sick just watching the video (I don't think Bonine would have helped on this one ). The poor kids on the Semester at Sea program got bounced around pretty badly. The story is crazy, but the video is even wilder. Oye

I just saw it on my 6 o'clock local news.That was terrible to see.I hope they are all ok.I just booked my first cruise and after seeing that I am a little nervous.

I ran it on my show. I'm afraid we don't have a video link. No, most of the kids were not terrified. If you look listen when they are sliding across the floor, they are laughing and smiling .....and then the captain gets on the PA and says something about calmer seas being ahead, and everyone laughs again.
I'm sure a few were scared, but the adults seemed more concerned about the kids sitting on the floor, and not standing up.

We were on the 2003-2004 NYE cruise, and one night was what the crew said was "the roughest it had been in several months"........we hardly felt a thing.....and actually look forward to the rougher water. Probably because we don't get seasick.
My first cruise, a 2 week Caribbean cruise in 1980 on the Mermoz, a 400 passenger tiny tiny ship without stablizers, got so rough there were times you were walking up a steep hill one minute in the hall, and then DOWN a steep hill the next. That is what cruising is all about. If I wanted a rock steady experience, I'd stay in a hotel!!!

I would suggest anyone who's cruising skip that video....you might not feel so great about crusing after that. If my DD7 saw it, she'd be afraid of getting on any boat.

We had 20ft waves on a cruise on the Magic once; my kids had a blast. If I show them this video, they'll be begging for a cruise to Hawaii just in hopes to catch 50ft waves.
