I don't drink soda, but drink seltzer by the gallon. Does anyone know if seltzer is considered soda and would therefore be subject to the $1.50 charge?

Yes, it is. You can use the soda mug or sticker program to get it as well. We had the AAA mugs, and I often got tonic water with lime since I was sick of diet coke. They asked me if I wanted club soda or tonic water a couple of times.

we were having seltzer water at a diner ,and we did not have to pay for it.we were on eastern march 6th.

I too am a self-confessed seltzer-aholic. I didn't drink it on our 3-day cruise because I didn't think it was available. I don't really consider tonic water the same thing, but club soda would have been OK (with lime or lemon). We did buy a bottle of San Pelligrino at Palo with our dinner so I got my "fix". The rest of the time I just drank regular bottled water (we brought our own on board) or the drink specials ;)

Clarifying here. You wouldn't have to pay for seltzer, tonic, or soda in the dining rooms. Only at the bars or the other drink outlets. For the purposes of pricing, which was the original question, club soda, tonic water, and actual soda pop (like Coke) are treated the same. If you have a soda sticker or mug, they're free, if not, they're the same price (I think it's $1.50 except at the restaurants).

Thank you soo much!!! Looks like I'll be picking up a few bottles to take with me.
