I didn't know where to put this post so feel free to move it.

What is the normal commission we should expect to pay for the sale of our OKW property? I think I should list it where I bought it from, TSS as they seem to be the most forthright and above board.

Also, It seems like there are many listing for OKW and the other properties now. Is it just the economy?

Thank you.

I think a lot of resales go onto the market this time of year because it is "dues time" and we are reminded of the responsibilities of timeshare ownership.

Also, the current economy would likely play a role.

Commissions for timeshares are generally in the 10% to 12% range. There are several reputable companies out there, there are also a lot of unscrupulous resellers, so if you were happy with the service you received from TSS when you purchased, I would list with them. I've never used a reseller, but from reading the experiences of others on these boards TSS seems like a good choice.

I just paid my fees in full for the year. Maybe I will hold off a bit and get into summer when the families are going and want to buy.

Thanks

Remember that the timeline from listing to closing can take 2 months, so don't wait too long, your buyers won't be able to book before their closing.

I think the sellers might get reimbursed their fees, unless they pay them as a gimmick for the sale. Cause I am in the process of buying resale now and I have to pay fees on closing.

Maintenance fees (aka annual dues) are negotiable in resale contracts.

You apparently agreed to reimburse the seller for maintenance fees as part of your deal. (Not unusual for a buyer to reimburse fees for current points).

Each deal is unique - some buyers do not reimburse the seller for maintenance fees.
