Ok, I need more....answers from experts!:worship:
trying to sell our contract,we honestly just want to sell, whether it's to another buyer or it gets ROFR'd... what is the best way to get attention to our listing? I thought I read a thread here a while back, tips to get your contract sold....but I can't find it. It's listed, how do we make it so a buyer/Disney notices it and buys it?
I know -X -paying for different costs can help etc, what do I do?
thanks so much for all the knowledge!

Disney won't look at it at all until it is submitted for ROFR - so there is no reason to try to attract their attention. With most resales, the single factor of most interest to a buyer would be the price, followed by number of points and then current/banked/borrowed point status.

If you have it listed with a broker, they will typically use a standard format for the listing. If you are trying to sell it on your own, then an enticing description and good photos may help - but again, rely on the price and available points as the strongest selling points.

Good luck! :)

since we're on this topic, would a contract with no current or banked points left hard to sell ?? I have a contract that I want to sell, but have no points till 2012, you think anyone buyer would even look at it if priced right ?

As a potential resale purchaser, I can say honestly that it would make it more difficult to get a buyer's attention. Of course, prior to reading these boards, I might not have understood that a stripped contract meant that I pay the money now but I can't go for two years.

I would think that pricing it aggressively, offering to cover the 2010 MF's (even if the buyer is getting 2010 points), and offering to pay the closing costs (all of which can be listed by the broker in the listing) will entice at least someone who is willing to take a chance that Disney lets it go through.

Of course, everything also depends on the size of your contract. If it is a bigger one, those are harder to sell, even if priced lower.

Good luck!
