Selling of the fastpass....

You wouldn't have happened to had bad experience with LEO's on US 231 or 331 in Alabama have you? I ask, because when we go down to Destin or PCB from KY, what you describe is their exact M.O.

Nope, I-65 North, just where the speed limit changes from 70 to 60. Had cruise control set, saw the changed speed, turned off cruise to glide down to the new speed. Saw the cop not 100 yards up the road, and his lights came on.

t_cattt, you'ld be alright, he seems to patrol the northbound lanes, we were coming up from Mobile. A buddy in that county says that he camps right there, and will not give professional courtesy to anybody. . .cop, military, nobody.

Hmmm. I'm guessing that the Montgomery monorail spur would have to be a bullet train, and will certainly require you to switch monorails... or man, you could SERIOUSLY miss that Ohana ADR if you get on the loop at the wrong place!

Total respect to those who didn't take the bait ... ;)

Not sure why some thought this was a battle worth fighting :confused3 Its pretty obvious (to me anyways) that this really isn't about the rights & wrongs about FPs, its about UNC not liking the 'clique' .... just sayin'

Blimey, reading this whole thread made my head spin :faint: good night x

Okay...we want to talk about correct info on sites??? You want to continue to bash another poster because there are some incorrect things on his site???
How about this one...

Complimentary Resort Transportation

Complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort—including transportation to and from Disney Theme Parks and Disney Water Parks—is available to Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

Avoid the hassle of driving and parking, and save time and money with complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

Take in the sights from an air-conditioned bus, soar high in the sky aboard our world-famous Monorail, or embark on a relaxing boat ride—and take advantage of door-to-door service that delivers you from your Resort hotel to all Theme Park gates and throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

Complimentary transportation is available one hour prior to Disney Theme Park opening time up to one hour after Disney Theme Park closing time. Additionally, buses operate until 2:00 a.m. from the Downtown Disney Area. Certain areas of Walt Disney World Resort are also connected by well-lit, paved, low-grade walking paths.

This was taken directly from the official WDW site. We all know that buses start running much, much earlier than one hour prior to park opening. And we are always correcting people over on the Transportation board because they have found that incorrect info on THE official WDW site. So...I figure that if Disney can hand out inaccurate info, we should probably stop bashing unofficial site owners.

How is this going to affect the Montgomery, Al spur on the monorail?

Thanks for coming to my defense. Heh, that is funny - Disney's site is notorious for posting incorrect info, to the point that lots of savvy planners use the travel agent calendars and such instead of the official WDW calendar.

But UNC *is* right. The Pooh fastpass machine thing does illuminate what a fraud I am. ;)

How is this going to affect the Montgomery, Al spur on the monorail?

I called WDTC about this very issue, and they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. I hate it when they act all coy.

I posted this back on page 4, but it must have been overlooked, so I'm just pasting the entire post here...

So, are you stating that if you personally held a FP that you couldn't use, you would actually throw it away, rather than pass it on to someone who could, simply because it is against Disney policy?

Just curious...

Just illustrates that you don't know as much as you proclaim to and calls into your self professed "expertise" in other areas of Disney matters such as the inner workings of the FP and internal communications.

You say you help Disney noobies on the Dis but it doesnt help them when you give out wrong information to them. But hey, if your self worth is tied up into trying to be popular on the Dis then go for it.

But you have flip flopped so many times on that now, that it really is hard to determine what your shifting position is.

Keep plugging away at that outdated, poorly designed website though.

no, i wouldnt pass it along to anyone else. Non-transferable. That has a meaning. last week when I was in the parks, we had this only happen one time. We all pulled FPs for Primeval Whirl and when we returned to ride there was 5 minutes left in our window and it was pouring down rain. We threw the FPs away.

And I wouldnt do it for another reason. I am not doing someone else's planning and legwork for them when it comes to giving them FPs. If they were too lazy, uninformed, stupid, or whatever to plan enough to get FPs for the attractions then I am not going to reward them with anything.

Wow. Do you spread that Disney magic when you're in the parks too?

Would you do me a favor and add a ticker next time you plan a trip?

This is just a sad, sad way to be. Do you need a hug?

I gotta tell ya, this doesn't happen to me very often, but I have been rendered (almost) speechless, especially by that second telling paragraph...

I take it you don't believe in recycling either? That is how you should look at giving your unused FP's to another park guest if you are not planning to use them (it`s good for the enviroment). By taking a page from your own standards pulling a fast pass that you cannot use is hoarding and by hoarding those FP`s you left some poor, lazy, uniformed and stupid guest (Your words not mine) without a FP.

And the personal attacks continue due to the weakness of your original position. Keep diverting.

Keep pretending that me missing the removal of DHS rope drop or failing to note the Pooh fastpass machine relocation has anything in the world to do with the photographic evidence I posted back at #110.

Keep pretending that I have changed positions on anything; anyone with a modicum of reading comprehension knows that I have not. What I *have* done is freely admit my mistakes (two in this thread, plus the typos and outdated info you have pulled from my site). You, of course, lack this ability.

Also, for the record, you continue to twist my words, acting as if I am some self-appointed expert, and since you can find nitpicks with my site, nothing I say is valid (hello, textbook strawman argument). Please note my exact, original, unedited statement:

As for credibility? I have maintained a WDW fansite for six years or so. I'm the guy people that people at work tell their family members about so that they can get trip advice, and they always come back and thank me for it.

I have 3300+ posts, a huge percentage of which are centered around helping newbies.

You have 200ish posts, which are largely narrow minded, argumentative, and often illogical.

I never claimed to be the end all source for WDW planning. I said that I ran a fansite, that I spent a lot of time here helping newbies, and that I helped other people.

I also rightly pointed out your posting history. Since you have so few posts, it's easy to browse... 75% illogical arguments about the evils of fastpass policy, a few questions about Wilderness Lodge, a few posts in random topics. But yeah, mostly nonsense like this thread. No need for me to cherry pick to try to discredit you, which only came up in the first place because you questioned my credibility.

But enough about personal stuff (at least from me). I'm sure that you will go on attacking me now, and give us more self righteous insanity about how you keep your fastpasses perfectly segregated among your family so that transfers never occur. :rolleyes1

I am sorry but what "magic"? The same "magic" that other guests with entitlement mentalities who abuse Disney systems and policies in areas such as CRT ressies and FP abuse in the past not to mention the whole pool hopping, refillable mug crowd. These are the people that prevent the spread of "magic" to others in Disney.

I dont spend 1000s of dollars at Disney to give other people anything that I have worked to get through proper planning. The other people have the same chance and opportunities but make other choices. Yet, they want to whine about those choices and how everything should be catered around them. that is why you hear the whining and gnashing of teeth about the FP enforcement. Funny though because all of their doomsday predictions have failed to come true but it doesnt stop them from whining all the time in various threads. Like a spoiled little child.

And dont worry, my trip last week to Disney was my first in about 10 years and I am good for another 10 years or more now.

I had an unused FP that was set to expire in 5 minutes. Standby at the ride was 5 minutes. Anyone that wanted to get on the ride in the rain was more than welcome and many did.

And as I said they were the only FPs that werent used the entire trip.

I would remind you that you made this personal when YOU referred to YOUR website as a source of YOUR supposed credibility. I only brought it up after YOU decided to use it as some sort of crutch.

I have addressed the "evidence" on post #110 and pointed out to you that it was a matter of service recovery for CMs to do in case a guest presented an expired FP. It was NEVER a change in FP policy as noted in the internal memo in Feb which you conveniently ignore.

You switched your position when you said it was a policy change in FP and then agreed with 100% of everything that was said in this post:

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=45174236&postcount=181

Where it was noted and you agreed that it was FP enforcement that changed not Disney policy. This was different than your original assertion of Disney policy.

I stand behind my posting history and sorry you find them to be illogical but it is only because you lack the mental comprehension to understand what logic truly is. You have reading comprehension issue as witnessed by your going off topic and referring to arguments about FPs that I didnt raise.

And yes, last week, each of the four of us pulled our own FPs. The two teens 16 & 17 were quite capable of it and wanted to do just that since they didnt want Dad doing it for them. Funny how teens can be that way. And its not a self righteous thing to say. It is just a statement of fact. I am sorry you dont think Disney policy applies to you though.
