Selling Magic Bands on Ebay?

Are MB reuseable I thought I read where you could use the same one for up to 3 years. If you take another trip and don't have your MB they charge you for another set if I remember correctly.

They are reusable but for now, they are giving you new ones for each trip.

That is actually what I thought too, but then they sent us a second set and then handed us a third (3 different trips...we go frequently as we live locally). They went to hand me the set this past week and I said that I had others in the suitcase and that I needed to run out to get them...they said "just use these" and gave me the 4 gray ones instead. I don't think they are expecting people to keep them, at least not right now.

No, you should not need to deactivate the old ones. We have 2 sets from our December trip, and have already customized 3 others for trips in March and October. When you click on Magic Bands/Cards, it doesn't give you the option to verify shipping address? Is your resort stay linked properly?

Once I verified shipping I was able to customize my cards! Thank you!! We should have all the colors after this trip and I decided to put 'fun' names instead of our real ones in them. Thank you!!

No - you will get an RFID card at check in. DCL is rolling out a band similar to Magic Bands for use in the kids' clubs, but you can't use the park bands for that.

not just a dragon but also a prebuilt dragon's lair area

the dragon flies so if you have flying ability (like the dumbo) you can fly after the dragon

my kids enjoyed it!

The band is associated to your MDE account. Anyone who has your band can access the information in your account.

Lets say you sell your band. The buyer could in theory access your MDE account if they were at WDW. You can make the band inactive in your MDE account but what if it gets reset?

Any thoughts?

It looks likeyou can list them as lost. Considering that I found one on the ground at SSR I sure hope that they cannot be reset by anyone but the original owner. They must get dropped/lost all the time. We went in and listed our old ones as lost considering that I actually threw them in a trash can...unlikely that anyone found them, but still...

I wouldn't trust Disney's software or CM's to not reset your account in error.

There is currently a set of 5 magic bands selling for $117.50 on ebay! That's crazy!

We did not get the thumb drive for out October or December trips, but one just arrived for our bounceback trip (or maybe it was late). I it too cute and you can store on it.

I have not heard anything about a flash drive. What is itall about.

We got 2 of them for 2 different trips. They look like a regular flash drive but they have a light-up Mickey head attached. I guess you can store on them like a regular flash drive, although I have not tried.

I handed mine off to the dear relations, so I haven't tried it, but I've heard it's formatted, so you would have to re-format the drive to use it.

Why did Disney send the flash drives to you? Do they have info on them about your trip?
