Selling day of passes even when at capacity?

Is Disney still selling day of passes when parks show no available reservations?

I know at one point they were, but curious about more recent information.

I haven't read reports from anyone denied a day-of pass, but there was a recent post from someone who couldn't change the dates on their tickets because reservations were booked up for one of the days.

Hmmmm....so if you were to buy a day of pass, do you just do it at the park that morning? As many times as we've been here; we've never bought day of tix. My sister decided to join us forba few days last min.; however it's showing the parks are sold out online, so she can't order them... so there may be a possibility of her getting it in the morning on the day we go???

If the park is sold out, I doubt she’d be able to buy at the gate, but I haven’t seen any actual reports one way or the other. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in.
