Selling at Amazon ...HELP!!!!

I registered to sell some textbooks there and I couldn't figure out if the commission amazon gets from the sale is charged to my credit card or they take their cut before paying me, which is it? What exactly do they need the credit card for? Yes, I know- participation agreement, but I was never good at instructions- WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN
