Oye! I've been lurkingly following your plans and was waiting to see your review of GF (we were considering Sugarloaf as well). I'd love to hear more.....

Well we can't really put a finger on why it wasn't really for us ??? Fantastic resort, but very crowded all the time because of a lot of curious visitors. Pools were packed almost all of the time. ......... Don't know how the pools are going handle the extra DVC guests ??? They can barely handle the resort guests now. The rooms are in need of a rehab as they are pretty run down IMHO .
I don't know ........ It just didnt have the vibe we were looking for I guess.
I would say our stay wasnt bad ...... Just not our ideal resort at WDW . We tried it, and are happy we did . Probably wouldn't stay again though. Our favorites are BC / YC , WL, AK and Boardwalk. Oh..... We also love POR . We are going over to CBR and CSR to check them out too !

Good luck with you choice . You will have a great stay at GF so go with it if its you first choice !

No, its actually our 3rd choice.

Our 1st choice is Poly, but with the uncertainty surrounding construction I am not booking there.

I have already booked at our 2nd choice, CR and have a great rate. I think I'll just have to stick with that!

Oh yea ....... We also LOVE the Poly. Never stayed at CR , but its on the list !

Sorry cant help you. We are doing a split stay and just left our stay at GF Sugarloaf. We have always wanted to stay at GF, and now we can cross it off the bucket list , lol. We left a little disappointed to be honest. Can't really say why ???? The rooms were a little run down but the resort was very nice. The room was a little small as well.
We just moved over to our "home away from home " at the Beach Club. We are much more comfortable and just love the YC / BC resorts.

Sorry Grand Flo ....... We would choose BC / YC any day .

That's exactly how I'm looking at it. I can cross it off my resort bucket list. I'd never be able to afford it on my own so it's nice that Disney is putting us up there. I guess it's all a matter of taste. I've visited GF before but always felt like I was going to break something.

Don't worry, you will have a great time ! I would go back to Grand Flo any day if someone else was footin the bill ! If I was paying ......... well personally I would pick another resort. But that's just me.
We also LOVE WL ! We are planning for that next trip!

Stayed GF last summer and fell in love it was so luxurious and serene! Getting to MK literally took 5 min or less!!! So many great restaurants plus you can jump on monorail & visit the other resort & their restaurants & lounges!! Do a monorail crawl!!

Views are beautiful too

Have stayed at both, but give the edge to the GF. The lobby is beautiful and when on a break the guys in the orchestra always talk to my son. Monorail access is awesome and either a quick trip on the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center or try the walk from the GF through the Poly to TTC and you are off to Epcot. I love the way the monorail sweeps through Epcot as it enters. Also love Narcoosees and if you want to see Cinderella and family 1900 Park Fare is great. The step mom and sisters are so funny.

I do the love the YC, BC, and BW the walk to Epcot and Disney Studios, SAB and sitting on the board walk enjoying a slice from the pizza window is awesome.

I love all the resorts!

MK is my favorite park so I'm happy to be so close. Still waiting on an official itinerary from Disney but I did make a late dinner ADR for Chef Mickey's. Easy access!
