We have been to MNSSHP several time but couldn't get vacation during that season this year. We will be able to arrive for the first few Christmas parties. We LOVE the halloween party but we always thought the Christmas party seemed lame. What can you tell me about it to change my mind?

We loved dressing up, doing the treat trails, the parade was amazing, the rare characters and the environment at MNSSHP.

MVMCP also has unusual characters and a nice parade.

We were planning to go over Halloween but it didn't work out for us either. So we're going the first week of November and planning to hit the first Christmas party. I haven't been to either, but I am getting excited about the Christmas party. I'm a holiday junkie so I love the idea of seeing the park and the Castle all lit up with Christmas lights, the decorations in the park, the Christmas parade and snow :) The stage shows look pretty cool too. I think there will be plenty there to do! And honestly, as long as I get to meet Rapunzel and Flynn I'll be a happy girl lol.

To be honest I didn't like the Christmas party as much as I like the Halloween Party. The big thing at the Christmas party is the parade. It is very neat to see Santa come down Main Street, and to have it "snowing" on you. However, the prime viewing spots go ahead of time. And people seem to be a bit more pushy at that parade viewing than at the others.

To me the Christmas party is neat. The Halloween party is wonderful! I'd say go ahead and do the Christmas party, but don't expect it to compare to the Halloween party. They are not the same.

Two words - free cookies :rotfl:Seriously though, the lights and decorations are beautiful that time of year. The snow doesn't impress me, since I get too much of the real thing. I think you should experience it at least once.

Halloween IS pretty cool, with the candy and the awesome costumes! However, there is something super-magical about the Christmas party. We do the Fireworks party, and then go around getting non-stop cookies, hot chocolate and apple juice. Plus, I think the cookies are almost better than candy, but that's because I'm a candy snob. :)

But seriously, it's a little chillier, people are in the holiday spirit, you get to see Santa Claus (and you don't have to pay $$$ to see him and take pics), the parade is great, you get to stuffy yourself silly with cookies - everyone is dresses in their holiday gear - it's nice. Plus, we usually grab a bag from the stores and stuff lots and lots of cookies in the bag. My favorite part? Walking down Main Street late at night when the party ends, watching the "snow" fall down and listening to the Christmas music. It's just so "Christmas-y"!

I love Halloween too - the costumes and everything are so cool. But there is something about Christmas in the parks....

So is there anything at the party that isn't included during regular day admission like there is with the Halloween stuff? We're coming over for Halloween next year and was looking at extending our stay until nov 8th so we could attend the Christmas party as well but if the Christmas party doesn't have anything special then I'd rather put that money else where.

Parade, stage show, Holiday Wishes fireworks, special character meets.

I'm guessing they'll add Anna and Elsa to both Halloween and Christmas parties this year giving guests additional access with hopefully a little less wait.

That would be nice! Might make the line for the dwarves shorter :goodvibes

I think the parade and such can be seen with regular admission after the 19th or 20th, but you have to deal with massive crowds then.

I have been to both, Halloween party for us was our favorite out of the two, however the Christmas in early November was also fun. The best part is the park is so open to you for all the rides, the parade, and fireworks. The crowds are so small, decorations great, and the atmosphere is so cheery. I think it is worth it at least once.

That is correct. Once the final party has been held, they do the Christmas parade and fireworks during regular park hours. But you'd have to be there at just the right time to have a choice between party or having those things offered as part of the daily lineup. Most don't get to choose between the 2.

Thanks for that, I went to the Halloween party last year so looking forward to doing them both next year. Wish we could be there during holidays around the world too, that looks like fun.
