Selfies at character meet and greets

I've seen plenty of people do it, and we did it maybe 2-3x last week when we were there. We would be prepared, ask first, and snap very quickly so as not to delay the line. We also had Memory Maker so we mostly had the photographers do the photos, and they were also happy to take a few on our phones/camera. None of them seemed to mind - in fact Merida took awesome ones with my boyfriend and was super excited we asked her!

I see no problems with selfies in general. Never understood why people have issues with them. Just as long as you don't impact other's enjoyment it is fine.

Agreed. If I am not in anyone's way or impacting their experience at all, I don't see the issue. The few we took with some characters last week didn't impact anyone's line time by more than 3-5 seconds each. If I do them at home, maybe I just think I am having a good look day and want to capture it! I understand the annoyance if it affects the trips of others, but I would feel that way with any type of photo - group, couple, selfie, etc. I think if you are taking selfies with characters or even of yourself in public/at Disney/etc and are courteous and prepared, no biggie!

A lot of the characters will have their own version of selfies as well. With Tiana and Naveen, we took Froggies (complete with frog faces), Peter Pan called my phone a magic mirror like the one Belle has, and Luke Skywalker even asked if I wanted a selfie with my holocam when I kept my phone in my hand while meeting him rather than putting it in my pocket. My sisters and I did a princess meal a few weeks ago and we took group selfies with each princess and they were all for it.

Does anyone else feel strange about the fact that Jessie has no neck?

Yes! That has always bugged me. Jessie in the movies is my favorite character. Jessie in the parks is kinda creepy.

Took a few selfies with the characters on Disney Cruise last year which was loads of fun. Love how it is more informal and makes the interaction a bit more fun for speaking characters as well! Snow White in particular was loads of fun, kept saying it was a magic mirror!
