Self-Termed... And Now I Regret It

Hey all,

So I self-termed for personal reasons about a week and a half ago. I didn't tell them the reason other than I just wanted to self-term. Now I really regret it. I wish I could jump into a time machine and reverse my decision.

You don't think there's anyone there in Casting who could sympathize and allow me to act like the last week and a half never happened? I don't know what I'd do as far as housing or if I'd work at the same location... but I just wish there was a two-week "oops, nevermind" ticket. That'd be a dream come true right there.

Hating to be the bearer of bad news, but sadly no. Once you self-term, a process is set in motion to remove you from all of the systems, and cannot be undone. You are removed from housing and separated in SAP (HR system the company uses for its Cast Members). Additionally, those that self-term are flagged restricted-rehire. You will have to wait six months before re-applying for a CP or any available role.

Is that six months from the first application, or six months from start date, OR six months from self-term?

Also, I graduated in May. I assume I'm not even able to reapply for the next round.

6 months from date of Separation in SAP. Separation is usually done the day or day after you self-term.

Remember, you only have to be enrolled in one college class, even only one credit, not even degree seeking, to be eligible for the DCP, so if you want to reapply for it again next recruiting season (once your 6 months is up) you can just enroll in a throwaway class through your local community college then and apply. That's what I'm doing now, I graduated in May too.

Hi there! Are you absolutely certain that you will be considered for the DCP if you ARE NOT degree seeking? I definitely hope that is true, but I have heard so many different things I am not sure what to think!

Also, as far as the school verifying your enrollment...will they actually be cooperative with the process if you are just taking some one-off class?

Do Continuing Education Classes offered through community colleges count? (Like Photography, Sewing, Sign Language...)

If it's not too nosey, may I ask what type of class you enrolled in?
