need some help please... still need to book a night before moving to DLH... want something cheap and close to RER/shopping mall...

these 2 are coming the cheapest and I'm fine to stay at any of them as its just stay over... just wonder if anyone stayed at either and get any tips etc?

our train arriving right after pep50 bus departure so we will be taking RER as dont fancy wait nearly an hour for a next one ; so how easy is to walk to them? from google map sejours is closer but just wonder if I go through the mall will I get near the adagio (I remember reading something about it but not sure now and cannot find anything), how long is the walk 5-10mins?

did anyone took a taxi from Disney? have they got different rates for Saturday?maybe is it not too much we just take one

also re sejours, did anyone check in after the reception was closed?, I dont think we will make before 5.30pm on Saturday, so wonder what is the process on getting access/key? going to send them an email now as well but if anyone done it can you let me know?

many thanks:goodvibes

ok, so booked Sejours et Affaires in the end as got 10%off at expedia and it didnt work for the other hotel... they better let us in on after 6pm on Saturady:eek: but will call them tomorrow direct anyway to get more info about latish check in...

but what about taxi? anyone took one from eurostar/rer station to Val d'Europe? just wonder what to expect?

tia

EDIT just found the one post saying it should be around 12E thats good I guess, is there any extra surcharge for Saturdays?

I paid 16e to the sejours in the middle of the day in october.
The hoel is fine fir a stop ove we did 6 nights in October won't do that again staying at the adagio I in feb for 5 nights.

thanks. its just one night for us so really wanted whatever is cheaper but it will be good to hear from you about Adagio and see if its better, I think it looks better on photos but a little more to walk from rer/shopping centre...

will put 20E for taxi just in case we will be to tired to take rer on the arriver as next morning we will be definitely taking train or maybe free bus and safe euros for shopping at parks:rolleyes1

The door are heavy so make sure you push hard to get in the room before bothering the staff. No kettle or toaster just so you know.
Like I said fine for a stop over but I wasn't keen for a long trip.
I would get the free bus in the morning there are about 3 in between 9 and 10 I have the time table on my phone I will look in the morning for you.
It will take15mins with luggage and kids to walk the bus stop from the hotel.
Remember stock up on goodies at VDE.
You you think of anything just ask away.

Adagio is right next to the shopping centre. At the end where all the eateries are. Opposite end of the RER about a 15 min walk but there is the free shuttle bus to and from the parks 200 metres from the door.

We stayed at Sejours Et Affaires in October/November. Late check in is fine - there's a machine outside that you type your surname in and it "prints" you out a room key. Seems daunting but it's not and it can all be in english.

thanks , will be probably taking bus in the morning its only after our train that are non for nearly an hour so thats why was thinking about the taxi...

thanks all for your help, less than 3 weeks now :)

Rather than getting the taxi when you arrive don't forget that there is the N° 34 bus also run by Peps that goes from the Train station to Val d'Europe RER.

Ok you have to buy a ticket for it from the driver but it only costs 2€ which is cheaper than the taxi and some of them even stop at LYCEE EMILIE DU CHATELET which is just opposite the Sejours & Affaires.

I'm just down from the Adagio and it takes me less than 10 mins to get to the RER so from S&A it is under 5 mins.

Here's the timetable for the 50 also

Re the 50 make sure that you have proof from your hotel that you can travel for free on the 50 as they are cracking down - Twice this last week there has been people made to buy a ticket from the driver as they couldn't prove that they were entitled to free travel. :)

thanks Carrie that really helpful about bus N34, had a look at the link and on Sat 17th there is one at 17.30 and our trains arrive at 17.10 so if no delays we should make it... but its not stopping at LYCEE EMILIE DU CHATELET so what would be the best stop for us? will the bus display stops names? also I have 3 ticket t+ from few year ago, can I use them on this bus? would be good as will only have to pay for our boy, will driver need exact amount for kid ticket or can give change if needed?

Best would be then to get off at the end - Val d'europe RER and walk 5 mins to the S&A.

Your ticket t+ are valid still and you can use them on the bus :thumbsup2 There is only one type of ticket sold on the bus and that's the one at 2€.

So if your boy is over 4 you will either have to buy a carnet of half price tickets at 6,85€ from the station at Chessy or just use one of your ticket t as you can't get indivual half price tickets :)

I stayed at the Adagio last year. It's about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the station, depending on how crowded the shopping mall is. It's an easy walk though - head for the mall and then walk through to the eateries where there's an exit just up from the MaccaDs - the Adagio is about 3 minutes from there.

The rooms are a good size and clean and I seem to remember there's a breakfast room in the morning (I didn't use it as it wasn't on my rate). There's a mini bus that runs fairly regularly that goes to the park.
