Whooo- hooo!!!!!!

I'm very happy as we've just booked in our Segway Tour at Epcot for December!!

I can't wait to do this. Disney Jedi Jon has booked it for me for my Christmas present :) :)

Karen :)

What a fab present Karen.

Can't wait to hear all about it. What a lovely hubby you have.

We did this last month and really enjoyed it. It's an amazing machine, and very easy to use. I took a little video while we stopped for a break; if you want to see it look here.

Regards

Rob

Jane looks like she got the hang of it really well :) !

I'd love to do this...... without the helmet :teeth: !!!

Soooo Cool :smooth:

I am itching to do this on our next trip. :bounce:

Have lots of fun and tell us all about it :)

Alan.

Funnily enough Shirley I got the impression from the CM I booked with they have had a bit of stick about this! He made a big point of telling us that the helmet was obligatory (which I'm sure they've always done :)) but he then went on to say that "following feedback from our guests, we recommend ladies bring a hairbrush with them!" :teeth:

Rob - I saw your video somewhere else and it was your video which inspired me to book as it looked like so much fun! So thank you :)

is it perticularly expensive to do this tour? i saw it a while back and loved the idea but havent found much info on pricing.

Hi Rhys,

It was $80 per person for a 2 hour tour. We got 15% discount as we're DVC members :) so in total it cost us $136 for two of us. Which at current exchange rates should be under £80 for the both of us. We thought for a "once in a lifetime" opportunity it was money well spent :)

Cheers

Karen

Sounds like a bargain......I think we are going to be doing this :)

Rob

What a fantastic video, you both looked like you we're having a great time and you mastered it very quickley.

Miffy I am soooo jealous, you're in for a fab holiday.

p.s. I take it that this tour is done before World Showcase opens.

ooooh this sounds tempting now. wonder how far in advance you have to book. hrmmm

Hey, I got the hang of it as well! ;)

It was a lot of fun, and certainly worth a morning's 'helmet hair' for the sheer joy of getting to grips with this incredible machine.

Regards

Rob

Yes Mandy I think so - I couldn't be trusted with a Segway when innocent pedestrians were on the loose LOL :teeth:

Mostly it is, but you do have to ride your Segway through open areas of the park getting to and from World Showcase. In those areas you ride in single file, but in the closed portion of WS you arer allowed to zoom around (within reason of course, this is Disney after all!).

Rob

Yikes Rob!

Health Warning then!! Anyone planning on Epcot on the morning of December the 18th may wish to re-select their park! :yo-yo:

Thanks for clarifying Rob!

:hyper: LOL Karen

Well I hope that they have re-built the World Showcase by the time I go in May next year, after you've been. Do you think you'll have to start with stabilisers first ?!!

Do you think you will cause as much damage as Hurricane Charley ?!!

Bring a hairbrush :o ?? Only a hairbrush  ?? One needs one's hairdryer, one's styling comb and one's hotbrush at least!! Oh and whilst they are at it, a dressing room where one can recoif :teeth:

........ oh and one other thing...... all cameras to be banned from the park whilst one is on one's Segway Tour, wearing the aforementioned helmet ::yes::

I think that just about covers everything :teeth: !
