I don't want anyone to get mad at me but why pay to go on a Segway tour? It sounds like paying to test drive a car; is it a tour for people who are interested in buying a Segway? If yes, the tour should be free. Just wondering....

I don't get the hype of the segway either, but to each his own. I prefer a good bike ride tour where you actually have to do a little work.
Not so fast there on the judgment, friend. If you are not in pretty good shape to begin with, a Segway tour will work some muscles you forgot you had. It's not just a scooter that allows you to sit and steer - you have to stand and use your normal sense of balance. The Segway is adjusting to you, not just motoring you around. My leg and calf muscles could really feel it the next day!!!

I wasn't passing judgement, hence the "to each his own". I've seen Segway tours offered at just about every cruise port I've ever been to, and many resorts offer them too. I personally don't see what the big deal is. It's not something I would spend my money on. I wouldn't be offended if someone said that riding a bike around was no big deal.![]()
