DH and I are doing the segway tour on our trip and I was wondering about a few things.
Firstly, do the segways have small bags on the front like the ones at WDW so we can store our camera? Also after the tour do you have to go to the gates to activate your ticket for the day or will you be able to do this at the end of the tour?
Thanks

I did the segway tour at the end of May and thought it was really a lot of fun. You will have a great time! I don't remember any storage bags being available on the segways. I had on my fanny pack and kept my camera in it. Although we weren't allowed to take any photos because the park was not open, be sure to take your camera because the tour guides stopped our group and took pictures of us with our own cameras on at least two occasions. I was on an AP blackout day on the day of my tour, but I do remember them taking other members of my groups with them to activate their tickets for the park on that day. I don't believe they had to exit and reenter. Hope you enjoy the tour as much as I did!

Last Jan our family took the segway tour and our guide gave us a locker for the day to put our extra stuff in. We had a great time. You can take pictures any time you stop somewhere on the tour, just not while riding the segway.

Thanks for the info. When we did the segway tour at WDW and when we have done them in Europe the segways had a small bag on the front which we could store our camera, purse etc in. We won't need a locker as we are staying at the GCH so can easily pop back to the room for things. I guess I will put my park pass etc on my lanyard and get DH to wear the camera case on the belt for his shorts. I can't imagine DH wearing a bum bag (that is what we English call fanny packs, to us a fanny pack is something well, it is not a term we would use!! lol!!)

I went on the tour in April and we got free use of a locker (for the day) to keep our stuff. I didn't realize that we weren't supposed to take pictures and was scolded when I took out my camera. We did get one photo opportunity where a Disney photographer took our picture and we could take some shots ourselves.

At the end of the tour, we all got a little trading pin with a segway and then together walked to the store at front of park to get our free picture. Then I just went on rides in the park. I'm not sure if we were supposed to get our tickets scanned at this point, but I didn't.

Also, in the begining of the session, they took us to a little room at the front of the park for yummy muffins and Odwalla juice and a demo of the segway.

It was a great experience that I definitely recommend. Was so cool to be in the park before it was open and riding the segway was a blast!

CA Adventure segways no longer have the little holders on the front of the Segways for your stuff. They will give you a locker for the day. At the end of the tour, they ask who is staying in the park and they will take your tickets to the ticket entrance to scan them. This is IMPORTANT because without scanned tickets you cannot get fastpasses. If you are not staying in the park, they escort you to the exit. So they keep tabs on who is staying, who is leaving and who has park tickets for the day.

My DH went just a few weeks ago and they provided a locker for his stuff and he was told they could not take pictures (since the park was closed and there was cleaning going on). They took a group photo and gave him a print and a photopass with the picture on it (along with the pin).

One important note: you MUST have closed toe shoes! He enjoyed the tour and wanted me to take the tour later in the week, but all I had packed was my Birkenstock sandals. They sent 2 people walking who were wearing flip flops - lucky for them there were openings the next day and they allowed them to come back.

He also had a hard time finding food that early in the morning (he ate at whitewater) but as mentioned above, there was food and beverage there when he arrived. A fact we wish we had known.

He said that they escorted everyone to the entrance when the tour was over (they waited a LONG time to get the pictures so by then the park was already open).
