I treated my dad to the Segway tour for his birthday back in July and we had a BLAST!
The breakfast we got consisted of a couple different varieties of naked juice, a couple different muffins and I believe bananas. The muffins are HUGE, like the kind you get a Costco. Its served in a little room where they do your initial orientation.
One piece of advice I can give, and they will explain this to you in your orientation - the Segways are set on what is called "Turtle Mode", which is the slowest top speed of 6mph. When you are going on the Segway and it hits that top speed it will start to "right" itself to slow down and you are going to feel like the Segway is trying to push you off backwards where really you are hardly moving at all - it is just a really weird sensation.
I was worried about my dad not getting the Segways and all that fun stuff (man he was a pro!) but it was actually my Dfi that had an issue with this - everytime it would try to slow itself down, he would jump off because of the sensation. So my advice is when you feel this happen, just lean into - it will continue to slow itself down but you are leaning in to the bar so you don't feel like you could fall (hopefully that makes sense).
Oh and my brother "claims" that he figured out if you picked up one foot while doing this it would make it stop trying to right itself so you could push the speed a little more - he wanted to be a little speed demon (heck we all did - while it felt fast at first, after a while you just wanna ZOOM!)
You are gonna have so much - getting on and off takes a little to get used to but the instructors are great and will stay with you as long as needed to get the hang of it.
