I am heading off to Disney with my best friend for a few days. We are going to hit he parks for a few days and thought that it might be fun to do a little something extra. Has anyone ever been on the Segway tour at Epcot or Dive Quest? If so, what did you think. Is it worth the extra bucks? If you've done both, which one did you like best?

Thanks in advance!

My husband did the Dive Quest last year at Epcot and really liked it. It is a cool experience, and the kids and I enjoyed watching him through the window at the Living Seas.

My husband, son and I did the Segway Tour in February. It is the most fun we've ever had at WDW - I can highly recommend. We LOVED it.

My DH and I did Segway for his b-day last Feb. It was the most fun we had in a long time. We would definitely do it again. It was a blast. Very cool traveling World Showcase with no crowds.

We just got back several weeks ago. We did the Segway tour for the second time.
It is fabulous fun! We'll probably do it again next year. Caution: It makes you want
to go out and buy a Segway!

we did dive quest before and we'll do it again this trip. if you have a disney visa card, you get 20% the price :cool1:

it's the most unique dive you'll ever have. it's all about being part of the exhibit. we know we're in a lot of people's videos.

the sea life in there is cool but i'm doing it to interact w/my kids and my parents. i can't wait! if you do do it - the only equipment you can bring is your mask. oh and you'll need your c-card

yep - been there, did that, got the t-shirt.

Tons of fun and my family seemed to really enjoy the 'watching' part too....even if they couldn't be an active participant.

I have done diving in the ocean many times and Dive Quest is one of my favorites. Great visibility, lots of sea critters, and no need to deal with ocean currents! I will be going to run the marathon in January and do the Dive Quest too. This will be my third Dive Quest experience and second Disney World marathon.

Not sure when you are leaving but I know you need to make reservations for the Segway Tour and I would imagine the diving one also. I called last week for February for the Segway Tour and although the dates I wanted were still open there were already some people booked. I believe they only take 10 people for this tour. I wanted the longer 2 hour tour that goes both inside and outside as opposed to the shorter 1 hour tour which only goes inside. I believe the 2 hour one books up quicker so if they are all booked try for the 1 hour tour.

One note - If you're thinking of Dive Quest, you need to be certified. If your not certified, you'll have to do Aqua Tour.... Still worth doing - I loved it!

We did the Segway Tour on October 19th and our guide, Larry told us it was completely booked for the remainder of the year.
There are 2 tours each day, one at 8:30 and one at 9:30 AM. Each tour only takes 10 people so it is a max of 20 folks per day.
We loved this tour and would do it again in the future, if we can. I booked it months in advance, and it was a blast!

Is there an age limit, I guess I should say minimum, for the Segway tour?

Yes, you have to be at least 16 years old. And I think that's with a parent, 18 if a parent isn't doing the tour with you.

There is also a weight limit of 250 lbs.

Can you tell me what the Aqua Tour is?

I'm going to do a tour during my upcoming WDW trip. I had been interested in the Segway tour, but when I read the details on it, I learned that I... ummm... exceed the weight restriction. Oops.

So I'm doing the Backstage Magic Tour. And I can always strive for being able to do the Segway Tour on a future trip.

Great. Thank you. DS will be 9 so that looks like it is out. I appreciate the response.

Has anyone ever done both? If so, which one would you pick? If you could, would you do both on the same day? Or would that be too much?
