I found this tour on the internet and we tried it this week. The tour consisted of just me and Dh plus the guide but it can take up to 6 people at a time. We booked the longest tour but they have tours as short as 5 minutes for you to just try the Segway. The 90 minute tour is $70 and really isn't 90 minutes- it is more like 130 to 140 minutes. The 90 minutes is just the tour of Celebration and it takes about 20 minutes each way on the Segway to get there.

We loved this tour! Also, children as young as 12 can go. The speed is limited to 12 mph but that is still a lot faster than the Disney Segway tours. I highly recommend this tour if you love Segways as much as DH and I do!

Sounds great, we have really enjoyed the Segway tours offered at WDW but plan on spending more time away from the parks in August. This sounds perfect :thumbsup2

It really was fun. We are doing it again in March whenn we are back with our 12 year old niece. She will love it!

The owner is also a full time Disney CM. He does this Segway business during the day and works at WDW third shift. "He has the Disney spirit", is the way I would describe him. Says hello to everyone you pass on the tour, etc. Very friendly and great stories about Celebration, too.

What time of day did you take the tour? Would you say it is better in morning or afternoon? I am thinking, since it is so hot in August, we would be better in the morning. What do you think?

Thanks! We love doint the Segway tours, and this looks like a new one to take! How far ahead did you have to book it?

We did 3 pm because our plane didn't arrive until 11 am. If it were me and I was doing it in August I'd definitely do it in the morning. There is very little shade on the tour.

It's still a fairly new business that isn't well known yet. I booked it on Saturday for the next Tuesday. He had two other groups before us that day so I'm assuming he had room for a lot more.

Dh and I will definitely look into this for our next trip. We enjoy the town of Celebration and this sounds like a fun way to see it.

We've been taking non park vacations lately and this sounds like a perfect way to get out and see the area without venturing too far.

Thanks for the bump Inkmahn. We might have missed this. My DW is always looking for
new things to do when we go. Looks like this will be in our plans for April.

I'm looking into this for our upcoming trip. I'd be interested in hearing from some more people who have used this company. At least the likely hood of an armed robbery is slight!

I did a search to find others who have taken the tour:

*bump*

We just did this tour again last week. This time we had 3 people who had never been on a Segway with us. They learned very quickly and we had a great time. On our way back we were asked "who wants to go fast?" and we flew back through the Celebration parkway at top speed. The kids loved it!

DH and I took this tour last Monday. We went at 4 PM and took the 2 hour version through Celebration. It only takes a few minutes to get the hang of it and then you're off. The town is gorgeous, filled with nature paths and boardwalks through wetland area. Not only do you see beautiful homes set out similar to the Boardwalk & Main Street areas at WDW, but there are animals everywhere. The guide is a very nice guy who loves to tell little stories along the way and always stops to point out important sites or to show you an animal hiding in the woods.
Although it's not cheap, I think it's a great deal considering how much time you get on the Segways and how much ground you cover. I'm not sure if I would do it again but I would definitely recommend it to others.
BTW, we had jackets but I ended up putting on the rain pancho they have in the basket as it gets pretty cool when you start going fast and the wind hits you. I recommend layering!

It's cheaper than the tours on property at Disney AND you get to go twice as fast. I'm spoiled now and won't want to do the slow Disney tours again.

Hey! This is the first time I've seen this post..sounds great! Thank you for the info!!! :)
