Segway tour, Here's what I learned ...

I'm still confused - are ressies made one year or 90 days out? And when is payment due?

I'm so excited! I just booked this this morning for Saturday, August 12. I wasn't expecting there to be slots for all 5 of us on the same tour- if there were any slots at all, but we're all going together! My mom, dad (a surprise for him for his bday from my sister and me), sister, DBF and I are all going at 9:30. I can't wait!

Something else I learned about this tour today- everyone needs a photo ID with them- my sister is 17 but doesn't have her license yet, so she'll be able to use her school ID and then her permit, which has her DOB on it- which they need to see.

I can't wait. As excited as I am to be doing this tour, I'm more excited to see my dad's face when we surprise him with this. He doesn't need/want anything so it's really fun when we're able to do stuff like this for him. A few years ago we did an Illuminations cruise for his bday- that was a blast.

That also brings up a good point - for people under 18, a parent has to be there (either on the tour or come in) to sign the paperwork/permit.

We booked the tour 3 months out, and I would really like to do it again.

My husband and I did this tour this past January. It was a great experiance. You do an hour inside in a "classroom" and then out to the World Showcase for an hour. There is a weight limit and a safety lesson as they take that very seriously as you are in the park itself when the park is open so it is very important. A must do and reasonably priced.

Ressies can be made up to 360 days out. I made my ressies yesterday for next month. Payment is by credit card and it is charged at the time you make the ressies. We're using a AAA discount, which brings the cost down to $68 each, and we'll need to bring the card with us that morning.

DS and I did the segway tour 2 weeks ago and we really had a great time. We had planned this tour for the 2 of us for fathers day for each other. The tour took you all thru Epcot world showcase after a brief course on how to ride. It was just the best....

We will be doing our first segway tour in Oct. Anyone have any tips or things to look out for? Thanks
