Seems like alot of Resales Listed!

I love the Wyndham product---nice resorts, great resale prices. I'm glad I own it, and have gotten great use out of it.

But, the company is not very owner-friendly. I can still live with that, and enjoy the product in spite of it, but I'm telling anyone who will listen to never ever attend a Wyndham sales presenation, or even consider buying from them.

I've read enough horror stories to avoid any sales presentation. Will have my first experience with avoiding Wyndham in July 2010 at the Kona Hawaiian. I think I'll have DH go get the parking pass(1st place they try to rope you in).

Just practice this line: "I wouldn't even consider buying so much as a single point until the $100 guest certificate fee is rescinded, and the ability for members to transfer points is reinstated."

That will get you a parking pass very quickly. ;)

Is January the most popular month for Resales?

Seems like ALOT OF LISTINGS AVAILABLE..Will increase DVC prices Jan.15th have an effect on resales?

Guess the economy is driving alot of folks to sell...

Thanks...

I have been somewhat amazed. We were able to get in mostly because of the cheap resale market. We would never have purchased 160 points at 100 bucks a point, but being able to get in at 50 bucks a point for vb and 70 bucks a point at okw, made it doable in 50 point contracts.

Also for what it is worth, I think a previously made poster hit it right on the head: People dont realize what else goes in to vacationing at disney. The lodging really isnt the expensive part. Now Im glad that every other year we can go to disney an pay 650 bucks for the use instead of 2500 bucks, but I think until this economy recovers Im not sure people are going to travel every year on major vacations. Which diminishes the value of timeshares generally.

Sorry to hear this. Hope when things improve you can maybe pickup some points at that time. Best wishes to you...
