Seeking opinions please!

Hello,

My family and I booked a package through JetBlue airlines for airfare and lodging to Disney October 9th-14th. We originally booked Coronado Springs as I've heard so many good things about it. Well yesterday I got a call from JetBlue saying that our room is unavailable at Coronado. They instead had the option of Caribbean Beach with a pirate room at no additional cost. Unfortunately there were no other moderate options.

After listening to the Dis Unplugged review of Caribbean I am worried that the room will be dirty, and the beds uncomfortable. has anyone stayed in a pirate room recently? Was it dirty? That would be a deal breaker for us.

I haven't stayed in the pirate rooms, but I just got back from a stay in the (lightly decorated) little mermaidish rooms which i believe were remodeled the same time the pirate rooms were done. I feel they are dated and in need of refurbishments, and there are only double beds, as all other moderates have queen beds. I believe a refurbishment is being scheduled but after your stay so.....

I think the pirate themed rooms are in trinidad north or south. We were in trinidad north building 31 which is a 2 minute walk to the pool and food area. It was very convenient there. Their (main) pool is pirate themed with 2 slides in the main pool as well as having a zero entry section in the pool. The pool is very new looking and in wonderful shape.

I feel Coronado Springs is worth more than Caribbean Beach, but that is just my opinion. If I reserved Coronado Springs, I would not be satisfied with Caribbean Beach without a further reduction in price. Again, this is my opinion as I'd guess without looking up the price difference that a pirate room might be a few dollars more than a standard Coronado Springs room.

But, I like both resorts, and can recommend both. I suggest a preferred location room for both resorts.
