Hi all!

My boyfriend and I will be staying at the Boardwalk Inn for the first time at the end of May. I am looking for kind of an insider's perspective on the Boardwalk.

What kinds of activities are available? I have heard that there is seasonal entertainment, but is anyone able to elaborate on that? I haven't found too much information!

What is the nightlife like?

How accessible is the quick-service in terms of location? We usually like to fill up our mugs at night so I am curious how that will work.

Do all of the room types have pull-out sofas?

Any information is appreciated! We are so excited to try this resort! Thanks friends!

We love the BW!!

When we have gone, the entertainment varies. I did not get a detailed schedule, but there was a magician/comedian and usually one other act going. I think it's more geared for younger kids, but we enjoyed it as adults as well.

For adults, we really enjoy getting a drink and sitting outside to enjoy the sights. I think the EPCOT resort area at night is really lovely. There is an outdoor area at ESPN and Big River. We also enjoy Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar, if you are 21 and over.

We would get a mug refilled at the Boardwalk Bakery or the pool bar/eatery. I am not positive about the times they are open, but we never had a problem.

I do not believe that all rooms have a daybed. There seems to be different room configurations available. We requested one and were lucky enough to get one. They are comfy. My DD and DS and I have all slept on one and found it to be very comfy. DS is 6'3" and DD and I are 5'6".

The BW has great location! We often walk to the BC/YC area and enjoy that part of the area. Cape May seafood dinner buffet is one of our favorite places to eat. It's so nice to be able to walk to EPCOT and DS. We have always had great luck with the buses.

Can't wait to go back!!

We love BWI and BWV! There is nightly entertainment on the Boardwalk. As PP said, it's usually a magician and juggler and they will switch off during the night with back to back shows. Some nights they will show movies on the village green. There are a lot of restaurants, Ample Hills ice cream plus JellyRolls and Atlantic Dance Hall are 21+ only. There are also carnival games and you can rent surrey bikes. Boardwalk Bakery is on the Boardwalk, but accessible. It's only kind of a pain when it's raining outside. There is also a lovely bar inside the resort.

The only rooms at BWI that have pull-out sofas are the deluxe club level rooms. All of the BWV studios have a pull-out sofa.

Agree with others that the evening entertainment on the Boardwalk is always fun. Give yourselves time to simply stroll the boardwalk and see what types of fun are there -- magician/comedians, instrumentalists, etc. A beer and sandwich at the Brewing Company, followed by a pastry or ice cream are fun, too.

Another BWI fan here...

The Boardwalk Bakery is the quick service location. Yes, you will have to walk outside along the boardwalk to get to it but that has never been a problem for us. I believe the current hours are 6:30am to 11pm.

I think that Marthasor described the entertainment well. Jellyrolls goes from 7pm to 2am. The new AbracadaBar is open from 4pm to 12am.

After a day in the parks our favorite is to get some ice cream and just sit on the boardwalk and watch the world go by.

None of the standard rooms we have been in had pull out sofas.

Wishing you a magical trip to the BWI!

Well, there is Jellyrolls...dueling piano bar. No food, only popcorn and alcohol! But fun. Atlantic Dance is across from JRs..never been there before.
There is entertainment on the boardwalk..jugglers, musicians, etc. Nothing I usually stop and watch for more than a minute or two.
Nightlife? Like I said, Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance, and Abracadabar is nice, but basically a lounge.

Quick service is available at Boardwalk Bakery. Other than that, you can get refills (in a cup) at Leaping Horse Libations (at the pool) and at Belle Vue Lounge in the morning.

As far as pull out sofas go, that's only in the villas...not on the Inn side. You should have two queen beds on the Inn side.

We loved the bakery for a quick breakfast and Beaches & Cream for sundaes. But our favorite part of our stay was the location. We had park hoppers and could eat at Epcot every night and see the fireworks after a day at another park. The convenience of walking between the parks can't be beat.
