Just been reading her Facebook page, looks like they had a delay of around 7 hours, hope they have set off now.

OMG Wayne, that was just the start, we got to BHX this morning with a delay of 10 hours in total, the flights coming in and out of Newark last night were cancelled because some idiot ran through security the wrong way, they evacuated 10,000 people from terminal C, and everything was just a total mess. The flight that was coming into BHX for us this morning didn't arrive until 2.10 - we were on it at 3.00 and sat there on the runway until 4.10, when we eventually took off. Landed in Newark at 6.10 local time, by which time we had missed all the connecting flights for the night and are now stuck in Newark Airport until we get our connection out of here at 7.15 tomorrow morning.

DH and our friends are all asleep on the floor and I am watching the kids, I feel totally exhausted now though as I have been up for ovr 24 hours at this point - we expect to make it to our villa by lunchtime tomorrow

Missed a day of our holiday now and I expect it will take a couple of days to recover from all of this.

Sorry to hear about your delays. I can't imagine anything worse than being stuck in an airport somewhere, wondering about where you should be right now had things gone to plan.

Hopefully you will get there and all this hassle will be forgotten amidst the excitement. Fingers crossed for a fantastic time from here on in
