One of the new life experiences of our last Wonder cruise was getting a chance to swim in the crew pool. On Castaway Cay day, the adult pool was closed for maintenance, so adults were able to use the crew pool and also buy drinks at the crew bar. Check it out on my website at www.castawayclub.com

Thanks Barb - great shots. In the "you learn something new every day" I never realized there was a bar down there as well. Makes sense, I just never thought about it.

Glad you got that insiders look, and thanks for sharing it with us.

I have a couple of questions....Were the crew still able to use the pool for that cruise and is the pool really as green as it looks in the picture?

Thanks for sharing. Always love poking around your website, you offer invaluable information and pictures!

I'm not sure if it was open for crew too...we didn't even see any other guests! We had it all to ourselves for two hours. Yes, it was very green...used to be salt water, but they switched. The color was also affected by the fact that they don't usually used the heaters. They used them this time, and a lot of rust came out. They had to drain it and start all over! But despite the rust, those heaters work REALLY good.

Thanks for the up close pics, Barb & Tony! It looks like it must have been a cool day, there was no one really laying in the sun! :)

It was a bit on the cool side, but warm enough to swim comfortably and even for me to get some slight sunburn on my face. I think that most people just couldn't find the pool! There were directions in the navigator and lots of signs posted, but I think that it was still difficult because it was a real maze.

Hi there - thanx for posting the pics for the crew pool and engine rooms..

I was a little disappointed in the engine rooms LOL

I was imagining that it would be like that great scene in Titanic with the men shovelling coal and the pistons moving up and down... somehow that is more romantic.

>>^..^<<

I think the coal shovelers are somewhere down on E Deck...that nice, shiny, neat & clean engine room is just "Disney show." :jester: :jester:

Great pics, Barb, so cool to see it up close!

I don't think the crew has been using the pool on either the Magic or the Wonder for quite a while. With the hours they work, they wouldn't have time! :)

We got to use the crew pool after the "fire cruise" last March. The water was not green but then I really didn't get in so it was probably salt water. I too was surprised that there was a bar for the crew. My only surprise was how WINDY is was in the front!!! no wonder the crew hardly goes there. Now, in port, that would be the time to use the crew pool. After the fire cruise the crew pool was the adult pool for a few days and the adult pool became the family pool. You have to go with the flow. Kathy
