See spiderman in WDW?

I see that Disney recently acquired rights to do Spiderman films. My son is a big fan.

I know we could head over to Universal and do the Spiderman ride. But I'm just curious if there's anywhere on WDW property to see him. Or rumors in the works?

I believe the agreement said no Marvel characters in the WDW parks since US has those rights in the area.

That is the agreement. WDW cannot have any characters or attractions that involve the characters that Universal uses or the characters in the same families. In other words, Universal uses Captain America so all of the Avenger characters are out.

I was aware of this and was surprised to see Age of Ultron merchandise in the WDW parks this past week.
I remember when they had the Iron Man monorail wrap they could only use it on the MK beam because the Epcot beam actually entered the park and supposedly they weren't allowed to do that...

Merchandise has been around for awhile.

People and rides, though, nope, not at WDW. (characters are at DL, but not Spiderman)

If you go to Universal for the ride, take some time to get pictures with the character; he's in his own indoors area where you pose with him in front of a green screen, and if you let them take the pictures they'll add neat backgrounds and effects.

Also just to clarify Disney/ Marvel only have the rights to use Spiderman in the avengers movies, all other film rights are still in the hands of Sony. Universal also has the Marvel rights to most of the major charters for use in the parks east of the mississippi in perpetuity as long as they keep them up to a certain standard as agreed upon by Marvel which still owns all rights to the charaters within there universe.
