I'm sure it's come up before, but thought I'd mention it anyway.. my mom encountered CMs at resorts that won't take sedesma. In the parks she didn't have any real problem, but at the various resorts they wouldn't do it.

I also had problems trading some of these pins while at the parks. Freequently the CM would take the pin and check with another CM to see if it was okay to trade. I even had some who refused to take them - it was very embarrassing. I purchased them off e-Bay and did not realize that there were CHEAP pins out there. I have since learned to look at the pictures very carefully because there seems to be alot of repetition in the cheap pins. One leason learned the hard way.

time for me to show some naivety what is a sedesma pin?? so I can avoid any problems..
thanks

Sedesma are Disney pins that are made in Europe. They're made of a cheaper material. They'll read "sedesma" on the back.

I'm also new to pin trading. I found several pins at a yard sale that are marked ProPin on the wrappers. On the back they are stamped ProPin Germany Disney. Are these pins also Sedesma Pins? And are they also not accepted at the Disney Parks for trading? Thanks.

Propin is not sedesma. It's another Disney Licensed company from Europe.
