Hi there I plan to book a sedan limo service from LAX to Hojo's at Disneyland.

I do have one booked but I am not happy with the lack of good communication. Making me very nervous.

Any one have some good ones they know thanks.

If you are looking for a Limo I would recommend Tony the Limo King.

I used their service a couple of years ago and I was satisfied and I will be using them again in a couple of weeks.

I have spoken with and have contacted many limo services in LA over the past few weeks. I will tell you without a doubt that if I were to book a limo, small or large, I would book with susan@americanlimos.org

She emailed me back with complete details and answers to my question about 12 times. Very friendly, fully competent and very business like. I was impressed.

Now if you want to know who not to go to...here's the email...it miffed me a little...

"We offer a shuttle service in conjunction with your event or by itself. We operate a variety of vehicles including golf cars, 7-Passenger Vans, 15-Passenger Vans, 24-Passenger Buses or Full Size Luxury Coaches."

Excuse me...I must have misinterpreted your website. The last I checked, taking children to Disneyland is a special event. Especially those from families who cannot afford the trip. It's possibly a once in a lifetime.... special event.

Have a great day!

Hi Jeannie,

Unfortunately, we will be unable to help you for we only do private parties and special events. Sorry and enjoy your trip!

I also book with a limo service and not receiving the care I did before with them. I asked them to pick me up at the airport. They told me that they can not do this. I would have to call them when I landed and they would come to the curb to get me. But I also would have to get my suite cases. Then go out and wait for them.

Belle who did you book through?

We were going to the limo thing too. But the more I looked into it the more nervous I got. I'm sure there are plenty of reputable firms out there, but there are some very shady ones too.

Whoever you choose, I would check them out a little. There is a site for the state of California (I don't remember the URL) that shows a company's license and insurance info. After I started googling a little, I found that the company I chose had no insurance and their license had been suspended! :scared1: So be careful, especially if you're scheduling a round-trip.

I was looking for bagguage help as I will have a scooter with me? does this place do that.

I am booked with XTC limousine just not sure anymore as the communication is not good

Does anyone know the website to check license and insurance? I can't find it.

Something else I found out is that not all the SUV's have a permit to enter the airport to be picked up curbside. That needs to be asked before booking.

This might be the one you're talking about........

http://docs.cpuc.ca.gov/tmis/

We used Luken Limousine and had no complaints on our service from LAX to CCI. Since limos are no longer allowed to wait curbside at LAX, the owner met us at baggage claim then rang his driver who was just outside the airport waiting to come pick us up curbside. It worked out pretty well.

Thank you very much I need help with my bags and I check out their web site so I think I will give them a call.

I would be interested in this too. We are planning on using a limo service in July and there are sooooooo many to choose from I don't know where to start.

I just called Luken and I must I am very impressed with the communication I have receive. I sent in some questions and in know time it was answered. The do try and meet you at bagguage claim. So feeling very comfortabe about this company. Their rates are very reasonable to.

I am a travel agent and have found a local who has had a limo business for 40 years. His airport rates for a strech for SNA and LGB are anywhere from 70 - 100 each way depending on how many you have. His company is called Harolds Limo. He also specializes in custom tours of the area and really knows his stuff. I am happy to answer any questions if I can help or give further advise. :thumbsup2

Anyone else have any positive experiences with certain companies? I know I read someone using Primetime Shuttle and hiring a town car. Please advise on other companies you have used. I am very interested.

We did Starz Limosines last week from SNA to the Grand Californian. They couldn't meet us at baggage, but they called the day before to confirm, then as soon as we had our bags we called them and they came from where they'd been waiting in the parking area and picked us up curbside very promptly. With taxes it was $114. one way, that includes a 5% gratuity and we added a bit more of a tip as well. They included soft drinks for the kids and a bottle of champagne on ice for us, as well as two decanters of something stronger (bourbon and gin, I guess? we had a little taste of the bourbon). There was not very much ice in the ice bucket with the champagne, or in the well with the soft drinks, but it was ok.

The trip back was a little messed up, the driver wasn't sure where he was going and he called ME to ask for directions how to get to GCH. I was like... I'm not from here, I don't know! But he got himself straightened out and was there on time, and was very apologetic. We didn't have a bottle of champagne available on the way back, but then I hadn't asked for it, either.

Also I think we were supposed to get the 2007 Chrysler M300, we actually got a smaller vehicle, I think. At least, it wasn't the same as the pictures. But it was still luxurious.

Sorry to piggback but haven't had any responses yet on my query for limo recommendations from SNA to GCH. I read on another board that a taxi flat rate was around $40. Any confirmations on this rate?
