Security Practices to get in the park.

I think I understand that the only security scanning is near the parking garage before you get to city-walk and then you can move through the parks without additional screening. However I think I saw that there is a different type of security on the garden path from the hotels. Do I have to do security twice if I walk? Does the garden path security keep me from having to go again at city walk? Any help is appreciated.

If you are walking in from Hard Rock side or Royal Pacific side, will have security check there and won’t do again as won’t pass the CityWalk security area.

Idk anything about security from the parking garage... unless it has changed, last year when we stayed at HRH, we walked and only went thru security on the walking path. Once your in city walk your free to go to the parks, restaurants, etc without going thru security again.

Thank you! I was hoping it was like walking from contemporary to MK where the line is shorter. I’m not a big fan of crowds and I saw the security lines at CityWalk.

Thank you! I may mean CityWalk security and not parking garage. I saw videos of security for people who parked in the garage and it looked insane. If I only have to do it once if I walk the garden path that makes me feel better. I was hoping they had a separate line for walkers.

As someone who doesn't like crowds I will say that security is a breeze at the Parking Grage/City Walk secuirty. No matter how insane the crowd looks, it looks worse than it actually is. It's 10x faster than Disney security that's for sure. The most I've waited has been about five minutes. If you go very early you will not have a crowd at all. It picks up a little during / right after park opening, but once some time passes, in the late morning it can start to slow down and get a low crowd again. However, this is an average day, not taking into consideration peak seasons.

Same here....lines are ridiculous concepts to me. Haha.
But yes.....city walk security moved fast the other day when it was jammed out to the walkways.

The worst part is that STUPID tv thing. Terrible placement as people stop to stare at themselves as an alien lands a spaceship or something.
Move that elsewhere and the people who care about things like that can go look instead of making a human brick wall. :)
