Security Fast Track

We fly out on Saturday, TCD Sunshine upper.

I had to fly last week on a short business trip and the security queues at Manchester were horrendous.

I know there is a 'fast-track' line, and I'm wondering how you get to use this?

Will TCD upgrades allow you to sneak through the fast queue?

I would assume the fast track would be for people with no hand luggage at all.

The fasttrack at Manchester is after check-in but before the security baggage check.

Basically you queue to be scanned, and the queue this week was horrendous.

But there is this seperate line with no-one in it, and you just walk through, scanned and into departures.

I saw people walking through, but it said 'by invitation only'. Therefore, i guess this is perk of a certain type of ticket.

I always flown out of Manchester, and I have never been invited to use this, I guess I'm just too poor to enjoy this no queue facility.

Yes it is only for holders of Business Class and above tickets and also some frequent flyer club members.

i take it this is the iris scanning.

Look at it this way, if you queue to go out to get scanned, you won't have to queue to get back into the UK.
